- In this video I pick up a kids electric power wheels car that was destined to end up in landfill.
Following on from part 1 of this series, I continue to fix the car and upgrade it
I lower the car, fit 2 motors, add a PWM (pulse width modulator) and add a 14.4V battery.
Oh thats pretty fast please be careful with your Son. Kids will take advantage of this cute car no way to deny. Overall a loving cute Boy and a lovely dad indeed. Very very proud to see you both enjoying. ❤❤❤ God bless your family.
I think those are 775 motors, and they should be fine from 6volts - 24volts. 12volts would probably be a good compromise, or whatever speed your son is comfortable with. One consideration is the gearbox, but I think it should be fine at 12 volts. It's actually a pretty heavy gearbox. There is room to grow - provided your son doesn't get too physically big for the car.
I will try a 24v battery at some point
Hii, How do u remove the plastic clip on rim on the wheel without snapping it?
I used a small screwdriver and pushed it in where the clips are. Once you manage to get 2 of the clips out the resy come out easy.
Where did you get replacement wheels?
I didn't. I just took of the plastic covers
