@@VictorKioko-wz9cy You can, we celebrated a driver in my center when he got his American citizenship, and he had been working at UPS for a few years already. I'm not sure what documentation you need to have to get hired, but he wasn't a US citizen yet. Good luck.
Great video. I currently work for Abf freight as a driver, at night time I work part time for UPS as a package handler. It is extremely hard. I’m trying to become a driver. Hopefully they’ll call my name soon.
I wouldn’t be rambling about it on here for 1. You should keep ABF FREIGHT out of it. But becoming a driver, GOOD LUCK. That’s going to take years.. regardless if you have a cdl . I have 1 too and I worked for YELLOW FREIGHT, and have been with ups for almost a year. You’re better off staying at ABF, cuz a lot is happening at ups.
If your applying for package driver there a long wait , if your applying feeder driver / sleeper team just be patient and wait . The feeder department has a lot of accidents that happen every month .
The feeder position in my point of view is by hiring people with experience.. I don’t understand why ups would train someone to get a cdl, but with no experience. Yes I understand your with someone but when the time comes for them to be alone on the road is a different thing.. ups should hire with 2 years experience minimum.. it should be experience over seniority, not seniority over experience but I didn’t write the union hand book on this one.. ups screwed up on this one, now they have to deal with lawsuits and easy payouts
