Hellcat has cat deletes.
Zl1 1LE has an upgraded intake on a manual transmission using no lift shift.

That Camaro driver had some beautiful shifts.
The automatic trans kept giving him the jump ahead of the ZL1. However that ZL1 kept up due to god like shifting.
Every video I see is an auto vs a stick zl1 lol I wanna see and auto vs auto

@@Z28Gaming yes auto makes very big difference in performance in ZL1 1LE trim or any ZL1 . By the way 1LE is slower due to high wing and spliter/ drag . Regular ZL1 with 10 speed are as fast as zo6 with 8 speed .
But the hellcat is a four-door tho and it’s not even a redeye.
He is NLS the fuck out of that ZL1. That damn hellcat sounds sooo damn good on the upshifts. Man I love some American muscle 💪🏽
That zl1 gets props for actually knowing how to drive his car, on top it he has less hp.
He also weighs less...
An it weighs a lot less then the hellcat which helps a great deal for the hp lost

I really thought the zl1le would have started loosing ground at higher speed with all that insane aero! Props to the chevy team. Honestly the zl1 is one of the most underated car's out there . -coming from a hellcat owner
The zl1 is rated right cause it looses to its competitors. The older 8sp zl1 use to loose to chargers badly. This is a race vs a 4door sedan and the sedan is keeping up

Outstanding competition! I'm a Chevrolet guy so I was biased. But that was one for the history books! This kind of stuff didn't exist from 1975 until about 2004 when engine technology started to change constantly.

Hey bro you always bring the best content. This is one of the best races especially the 2nd round. They were neck and neck and I was going for the zl1 too. I know people like the hellcat but you have to respect the zl1 and the power that it puts down. I would like to see them go from a dig next time.

You can't shift as fast as the A10, period. Had that been the other trans it would've done even better (same w/o the 1LE aero), but epic shifting regardless!

Probably one of the best runs I have seen on this channel, it’s really comes down to who is the better driver because both cars match up perfectly! I think also the 1le suspension is more track tuned so it wasn’t really able to pull but great runs !!
No tire spin so I don't think the suspension play much of a role here. Without the 1LE aero. the ZL1 would have likely been slightly ahead. Had it been an auto, it would've been that much further ahead. But I have to say, epic shifting on the part of the ZL1 driver!

This is about how it was for me racing a ZL1 up to about 150 with my tuned hellcat. I started slowly pulling away at around 125 and by 150 the zl1's front tire was at my rear tire. Don't know his mods but it was the closest race I've had on the highway. Amazing how evenly matched these cars are. In the end you pick your favorite style because they all cost the same lol.

I’m a die hard Dodge enthusiast and owner but I’m honestly thinking about getting a ZL1 now‼️ that 10 speed is no joke a couple minor mods and you can run with a red eye and you have way better technology and features

Very close runs, The ZL1 would of gotten the Hellcat on all three runs if it wasn't for the spoiler. The spoiler is great for track runs and downforce around corners, not great for the drag strip or straight line speed. Great vid though and hell of runs.
Downforce at high speed is great for stability and make adjustments without upsetting the balance of the car.

Awesome race and he knew how to stick with them gears in a Camaro except that last run the hellcat kind of got off on them a little bit it just shows that if you know how to work that manual you can run with some stuff 👍

Yea was epic. One thing we know for sure is the zl1 will heat soak faster though, as you can tell by last run. But thats know for the lt4 with its smaller blower.

10 Speed would definitely get it. I own a Charger Widebody Scatpack & often run into Manual 5.0’s & SS Camaros. It’s never a fair race unless they have multiple mods. The Autos are so fast these days. I like a manual myself, but if we’re comparing modern stock muscle cars, the Manuals don’t have it unless they have the additional HP to back it up.

@@mb.4 apparently I’ve been lied to. I’ve seen videos of newer 6 speed 5.0’s leaving Scatpacks. I raced my buddy’s car multiple times & it was always a slaughter for him.. Now I’m thinking, he’s probably not the best driver. Unfortunately, I’ve since sold the Charger. I think maybe if I was driving my buddy’s Mustang, it would have been closer.

I think that if the camaro was the 10 speed auto and was the normal zl1, it would have been alot closer. That wing on the back creates too much drag in straight lines. Great runs you guys
10 speed would be a different story on the top end but then again an upper and lower pull with a fbo kit on a Hellcat would awfully difficult to beat.

The new 3.8 Whipple should make the ZL1 more appealing. It's a damn good platform.
If you own a ZL1,please stop racing from 50 and 60 rolls,your torque is just about gone, try 40 and below, you can use traction control on the hit and switch it off after you hook. And if you have manuel, you need all the help you can get, like the jump from 40 and make them play catch up. Stop embarrassing us ZL1 owners PLEASE. Great channel.

For sure, best runs so far🔥🔥 I actually have a GoPro question too. I just got the Max today. Fooling around with it, I noticed the seam in the video when rotating all the way around. Do you just face yours straight to the side and just cut before the seam or what? Or can you fix it in the editing, because yours never has it?
