I made a mistake for the RX580 2048sp text on screen oops😅
We are humans so a we can make mistakes. No worries.
Glad you cleared that up.
also with the 3070 Ti lol
Dude you could have made a Plus or an X with the thermal paste for even distribution, instead you just squirted it all over the place like a damn savage 💀
@@ChaotiX1
Well its still pretty accurate because its kinda a cross between the rx 570 and rx 580 anyway.
Yes, that's insanely cheap. But an X99 QD4 or MR9A with an E5 2640 v3 or 2666 v3. You can turbo boost unlock, have more cache and you get AVX2. Having AVX2 in more modern games is a god sent. Sandy Bridge and Ivy Bridge actually have the exact same instruction sets - so the jump to Haswell or Broadwell is where it's at.
I am thinking of making a video on one of those x99 combos!
@@woostinstechflip Just make sure you do the research. Many of them are trash quality. Miyconst has great info regarding them. It's no problem adding ReBar and unlocking turbo boost these days.
@@woostinstechflip I also highly recommend something like ReviOS. You can manually remove Spectre/Meltdown patches, but having a stripped system on a CPU with shitty single core performance is what helps you edge out those high FPS in esports titles, which is what you need for successful flips.
I am super happy with my x99 build.
Found an I7 5960 x99a combo for 80 bucks. Ram light wouldnt ever go away with known good ram. So i bought a E2680v4 14core 28thread and it posted a couple times on the bench. But when I plugged in the gpu and hooked up the monitor, cpu light came on and then wouldn't post. Under closer inspection had a singed pin that must have barely been touching that couldn't ever get to connect correctly.
Later found a evga micro atx x99 refurbished for 100 bucks, so finished out the build in a smaller case. Turned out pretty sweet with a used 3070 on board. Turned out to be an excellent all around gaming/workstation rig with the quad channel ram set up on the x99 mobo.
May possibly look into trying to do a socket swap just for kicks.
I figure for the $80 tag I'm not loosing much if I mess up cause the I7 ended up being fine, and the Xeon was so cheap it's worth risking a bit of testing with.
It was all a massive upgrade from the sabertooth x58 with a 1st gen i7 I had been playing on.
Heard of the xeon e5 2667 v4?
Underrated tech channel
I got a Haswell Xeon 2670 V3 12Cores/24Threads. Only complaint is the clock speed wish it was a bit higher but tbh it doesnt seem to impact games. it handles everything I play perfectly fine. Also this thing runs super cool hardly gets hot.
I built a cheap x79 setup with one of these, I7 4960x, 32gb ddr3 1866 in quad channel, rx 580. Running linux it plays most games i want on 1080p at at least 60fps, i mostly play single player so an occasional stutter is fine for me, just finished Baldurs gate 3 with no issues, not bad for a setup i have maybe $300 buck US in total, would be a little more if i hadnt had an old noctua cooler laying around but none the less a still a good deal for the amount of entertainment im getting out of it.
the CPU fan choice is a good idea it will keep the the VRM's cool
This is an insanely cheap $100 combo!
I’ve got the same motherboard in my backup PC for gaming and a i7 3930K that I got for $20 paired with a 2080 super 😁
Good overview, cannot beat the price / performance if you are on a tight budget!
i mean, you can:
86$ combo (better, manually finding parts)
atermiter motherboard x99
xeon e5 2667 v4
atermiter server 16gb ddr4 2400
this is so much better in everything except for the amount of cores
i really liked this video. thank you
Ho x99 p4 , xeon 2680v3 ma gira solo a 2,89 ghz come sblocco il turbo boost? Da buie e attivo ma è come se non va oltre
Back in 2021 Oct I picked an e5-2650 v2 bundle from AliExpress with a Kllisre mobi and 16gb ddr3 server ECC ram for $130 CAD and I have exact Snowman down draft CPU cooler
i wonder if there is a difference between 2670v2 and 2680v2 cuz prices tell so (idk about the performance)
got mine under S100 with a RX 580 included in bundle still running modern games...
What power supply do you use?
Cool video. With the Xeons the Sandy and Ivey Bridge CPUs have the same instruction sets so no worries there. I know because I happen to have two Dell workstations. One died and I am on the slightly older T3600 and the only difference from the T5610 with a V2 processor is the older CPU uses about 15 watts more power for the same performance.
On this topic though old workstations are great. I have a T3600 with an E5-2665 with 64GBs of RAM and that cold about half what even a 1st gen Ryzen goes for second hand around here.
I also had an i5 8400 with 32 GBs of dual channel RAM that I used for work from home and the newer machine also feels more sluggish.
And the only real benefit to the 8th gen CPU was AVX 2 and I have yet to run into a game that strictly required it.
My T3600 seems to be running great with my RX 5600XT under Linux.
Which linux distro?
@@imam-icereyan5471 Opensuse Tumbleweed.
I recommend the Radeon Pro WX 3100
Thank you.
You can get all cores at 3.5ghz. I have e5 2680 v3 all cores at 3.3. look it up :p I had fps gains in games.
Worth it definately.
The gpu usage on the 3060ti 😂
did you do anything speical to get OS in this mother board? i haver tried all windows from se to win 11 plebeian all true nas unraid nothing wotn boot any help will do
It doesn't support windows 11, and will only work with some SSDs from aliexpress, not all
Hi I can't find any info about this, but I am curious if you had any issue installing Windows on the NVMe M.2 slot? I have both ZSUS X79 and ZSUS X99 boards and both claimed to have support on the AliExpress page for M.2 NVMe but windows does not want to install.
Some Chinese SSD will not show up or work for whatever reason
@@woostinstechflip I'm using TeamGroup NVMe PCIe SSD. Used hundreds of times without fail in other builds. Seems like the board just does not like NVMe or maybe the m.2 slot all together because SATA 2.5" SSD worked fine.
I don't think it's so much that SSD is failing but from my experience the x99 x79 boards tend to like ssds with dram more
Cool video but you were wrong about the turbo speed. The all core turbo speed of the 2670v2 is 2900mhz, not 3500mhz.
My mistake I meant 3.3ghz
it's 3.3 and isn't the point that it is not doing what it should ? I would find it extremely frustrating if I had purchased this motherboard and CPU compo and did not get the turbo turbo speeds that I was supposed to
the cpu bottleneck is sad. I wish there was a way to make the cpu brute force it's way through in game calculations. I wouldn't mind the cpu using 100% if that means no gpu bottleneck and no lag.
Can you link to what you bought?
it's literally in the video description
what if i combine E5-2660 v2 with 750 ti? in cpu userbenchmark website it says that E5-2660 v2 gaming is %47 but the cpu got 10 core 20 threads and 25mb l3 cache can i get 144 plus all the time in valorant? thx for answering
Maybe at low settings, the clock speeds for xeon are quite low
ok thx
watching this from 2029 with my rtx 6090 TI Super and 2TB Ram and 12TB SSD intel i9-17900KS
Wow nice mic the voice is amazing now 😊
Didn't change the mic at all 🫡
@@woostinstechflip ok you forgot to use it well last time 😅
...but it's ddr3. Now if these were ddr4, I'd be impressed!
Bet. Now come back after a month 🌝
wann war das denn?
X99 chipset use server ram or normal desktop ram what should i buy for gaming ? What is working for it
it don't matter but server memory only works with xeon cpu's
@@NightshiftCustom thank you bro
I really don't get why more people aren't using the E5 2643 V3/4 more. They're so cheap, less than $10 shipped on eBay and with the higher single core clock they're great.
Cause (most) xeons are basically i7 6800k ‘ s
you need to use the x99 board and ddr4 memory so the cost is a lot more
The E5 1660 v4 is even better you really don't need all that costs
Rx580 or not rx 5870!
86$ combo (better, manually finding parts)
atermiter motherboard x99
xeon e5 2667 v4
atermiter server 16gb ddr4 2400
this is so much better in everything except for the amount of cores
I'm sure prices have dropped since the video was uploaded, but as for $86 I'm assuming it's USD and not CAD lol
@@woostinstechflip yea, its usd
@@mecyanned pretty good deal
@@NightshiftCustom Thanks, although the rx580 is much more expensive. get the rx5500 instead then flash rx5500xt bios on it
i found x99 motherboard on aliexpress but the chipset is h81, would that be a problem?
Not really
@@woostinstechflip thank you
nice video
always need to unlock turbo on all core clocks in the bios always bro ur mobo cant do it u do it threw code comman :
Mobo is gonna blow up lol, I don't recommend the clock speed hack on these type of mobos
Now that combo is $40 usd ($50 with ram)
It is not, just checked
Fuck that. I just picked up a E5 2650 v4 with 16gb ddr4 ram x99 motherboard combo for £50. 12 cores, 24 thread's. Will be no bottlenecks on a rtx 3060ti.
Well, it'll perform about the same as the clock speed for 2650 v4 is extremely low
how long was shipping?
Around 2 weeks
Recommending v2 processors and DDR3 in 2023 is not comme il faut. When you add $15 for cooler, $40 for SSD, $25 for PS, $30 for case, some $ for GPU your $30 economy from v4/DDR4 kit will not that shining bright.
If someone is on a strict tight budget, then you suggest spending a little bit more on each thing is not going to cut it. Plus, prices have gone down a little bit as of now, so it'll be an even better value now. Keep in mind everything is in CAD which is worth less than USD lol.
@@woostinstechflip Ok, now I see 2640 v4 kit for $60. What is your shipping price?
Do you pay tax for that
No tax (9/10 times) for AliExpress parts 👍
@@woostinstechflip somebody pay tax for that
Usually there's no tax for AliExpress stuff because they mark the item at a very low price on the shipping label
No USB 3.0?
There is a usb 3.0 port on the motherboard for front io
yeah its not 100$ if you got the motherboard cpu and ram for 100cad which is $75 and then you added a cpu cooler which was $25 which is now $100 and then you added a terabyte ssd to the game which is $60 you said, GTX960/RX580 or sc versions are mostly $40-50 well you can get one for $40, i seen some, so its now a: $200 gaming pc considering that we have thermal compound at home and we have a pc housing or we use just a box of our system for pc housing.
Those parts are the base of the $200 pc. Dont put missleading tittle to the video, cause some ppl will assume that its a $100 gaming pc, which is not.
¯\_ಠ_ಠ_/¯
How would anyone mistake it as a $100 PC??? Can you not read the title, where does it say PC??????? Does the thumbnail show a picture of a PC? 🤡🤡🤡🤡
@@bowler-x809 Good luck using a pc without storage, gpu and psu 💀
Bro it's just a video about a $100CAD CPU mobo ram combo, it's not that deep 🤦🤦
@@woostinstechflip its not that deep, but you can only able to build a 200usd pc from the chinese xeon method.
Its like oww 100usd build but actually its 200usd.

gud videu
These 10 cores are useless, in the single core cinebench test these get 300 points max
Lmao and then you try to sell this on FB Marketplace for like 1000$ way to play yourself
Wrong, use your brain thanks 👍
bros hating on a game that didn't do nothing to him😂 das lame af😂
