it makes what he's doing less exciting and dangerous, if you just left it so you think for yourself, the whole ordeal would seem as scary as it actually is. The commentary is just over dramatic and sounds like they're compensating.
This guys hardcore \m/. What a bike to do it on too, man the Summum is a machine. Would be sick to see him to it and compare speed and times, with a prototype Mondraker Summum 29er. YEWW! \m/
Iñigo Downhill his run was practically straight down the hill. Few turns where low speed. The challenge here is the sharp turns at high speeds and off camber sections. Both videos are equally impressive in their own ways
Just show the run with commentary, this wasn't produced by the same crew that covers actual MTB it seems. Not even a call out for the bike, the tech nothing. Its unfortunate this doesnt get the coverage it deserves, this type of production certainly doesn't help.
To all those people who thinks the video is over dramatic: I’ve been there. Skied down it, and it’s fun but physically extremely demanding and I’ve crashed multiple times. I was going a fraction of the speed the racers go although I was an alpine racer in my teenage years as well. Please don’t even think about mentioning that this is easy and that the commentary is over dramatic. You stand up there and go down it with 120 km/h and we’ll see, because with my alpine racing experience I didn’t even trust myself to go down there at 60 km/h with all sort of protection and training.
Mountain bike is totally different. He was going a fraction of the speed in the turns and would not get nearly as fatigued as you do on skis. Also it's way less scary to go that fast on a bike where you can slow yourself down much more easily than skis. That alone would be a big piece of mind. Still not bashing on the guy. He has done some stupid crazy stuff that I would never have the guts to do.
Drop the dramatic music and just let us listen to the raw sounds of his bike, his breathing, and the mountain. That's what this is all about, not the synthetic dramatic elements. So he has done some fast downhills, but does he really ride mountain bikes? I mean really like them on trails, up trails, over roots and rocks, tight single track? Or is he just a bullet rider? Mind you not that I will attempt the stunts he does I'm just wondering
dickies cbb not even close mate ive raced mega and ive also seen this place in real life this is 100× more insanse man in terms of the track that is nothing will ever beat trying not to get demolished by everyone
funny.. it is not a problem going down on a MTB at that hill, the mtb will do just fine. the problem is doing it fast.. the challange is doing it so fast that noone want to try to beat your time !
Have any of these idiots in the comments either ridden a bike on snow down a hill or skied a world cup downhill? Seriously doubt it. Just getting down is a pretty major achievement. I will agree the commentary was a bit over the top though, ha!
Ive ridden down there loads of times in the summer with no snow, but sadly, they wont let you take a bike on it when its prepared for the race - shame cuzit looks a laugh :-)
Whats his time...i bet is twice slower than pros on skis...on that fall he was maybe 30 miles per hour...and thats a section where skiers go more than 60
I think that the greatest downhillers like Danny Hart , Aron Gwinn would have done it as fast as him..or someone who is used riding in snow and at high speeds
I see corners. What qualified him for this. The world speed record has nothing to do with a track like this. Redbull should have asked any DH world cup racer. Oh, and why do they say he is cramping after a few seconds of the track?
Couldnt watch that video to the end. The cringe is real with that commentary. "His fibers threaten to tear".And this in the flat section. Sometimes Redbull should just stfu and let the real men do the talking, in this case the skiers.

Did you know that the zielhang is actually closed off for the general ski season because it’s that dangerous. Not even professional skiers that have the perfect technique attend this race because fellow friends and skiers have died racing here.
Absolutely no need for this overdramatic commentary, should have let the sounds of tires to the ice do the talking.

Hart verrückt aber total geil 😅👍👍👍
Must be hard to really communicate how difficult this is didn't really come through, maybe less production.

He's a legend...
Now have Fabio Wibmer do it!
It happened 🎉
So what was the time..?🤔😀

Austrian? The national language in Austria is german.

There's a difference between making fun or discrediting someone's achievement and stating that the commentary is overdramatic

@@RangerRyke dude what? Braking on skis is so much more easy and you can do it way quicker than on a bike

Skipping the Hausbergkante
It was in Chile, not Nicaragua, how’d you mess up 15 secs into the video???
These tires geez
Over produced
I feel empty after this!

i thknk he rode it after the race , there is no way they would let him go on it before the race
was he clipped in
Cole Royer I think so
He is crazy or brave! 🤔 But this cool
DH bikes that goes 120km/h good one....
I'm curious...how did your time compare to the world cup skiers?
Looked slow. What was his time?
He was definitely on the brakes. Skiers go faster.
How did they set up the suspension?
Must have had some some super light oil
I didn't think pedalling would be required ?
Whats his time...i bet is twice slower than pros on skis...on that fall he was maybe 30 miles per hour...and thats a section where skiers go more than 60
Way to dramatic. But I do understand that it is very difficult.
Is Steilhang realy a English word😂😂
Noo its a german word😂😂😂
Yup Fabio made it easier without the explanation of science :-)
Fabio wibmer was going in a straight line the majority of the time
Why doesn’t he put skis on this bike 😂
Demo 8 to enduro witch bike?
Speed 104 🤣
Erghhh, wish you'd just show the video and not 3second clips of it all smashed together
How does he even walk?
Fabio tho
Fabio's sick
Sorry, I'm not buying it.
I am bit doubtful also that he did one full complete run - not on the basis of the video
Well it's not for sale.
An awful lot of slo mo for a video that wasn’t to convey speed.
Megavalanche
IDK what is more ridiculous - riding bikes on snowy slopes or ski jumping on grass. WHAT IS THE POINT???
Was that supposed to depicted it as being scarier than snow skiing down?
Deutsche Wörter englisch ausgesprochen klingen halt einfach dämlich xD

Yawn... It's like comparing knitting to ice-cream, strap your skis on.
Easy
I think that the greatest downhillers like Danny Hart , Aron Gwinn would have done it as fast as him..or someone who is used riding in snow and at high speeds
Just google this guy for a second he has some world records as fastest biker on snow.....
Uhuufuh
Why choose him? Why not someone who races and has more skill and fitness...
Cramping after a few seconds?
He's been faster down a hill on a bike than anyone ever. Who's more qualified?
that's a super ignorant comment my friend.
Um no one chose him moron he chose himself watch the video it was one of his dreams. I bet you havent even accomplished a single one of your dreams.
I see corners. What qualified him for this. The world speed record has nothing to do with a track like this. Redbull should have asked any DH world cup racer.
Oh, and why do they say he is cramping after a few seconds of the track?
he has probably done more runs on slopes than any dh racer ever did. And he startet to get tired after the 4th attemt.
second
99% of this video isnt even the run? Its terrible. Just a bunch of exaggerated talking. I guess I'll go look for the actual video

He is so out of shape if this is killing him. He should try racing a world cup downhill and see how he feels after that.
way tooo easy
Shut up and go try it
An 85 degree ice incline is easy... Sure thing mate
Way too easy looking on camera

Bike on a ski slope? No, I don't want to see that. Ski slope is for ski and not bikes.
