Just an idea, I don't know if drop down attic stairs has been proposed already, but you can get them with railings (a bit safer). Yes, they are more expensive than a ladder, but you won't have to dig a ladder out each time you want to get up in the loft. So much work ahead for you two. The place will be a nice place to live when you are done.
Hey Chad, a pet door opening into a fenced pet yard also makes life sooo much better. If you haven't yet considered it, this is a good time to install one, before the insulation, or possibly set into a door leading to the breezeway.
Tipsy definitely rules the farm animals! I’m glad you’re keeping the lofts and decided to have your new building become the master, kitchen, great room, etc. You will appreciate the extra storage space in the long run.

Insulation trick! Put baby powder on your skin before you start handling the insulation and it will help you from getting itchy. Great plan to have a boys cabin, how exciting for them. 🇨🇦

My Niece had redone her floors,she lived in the country, and she put dark wood down all she did was complain about how dirty it looked all of the time, between the dogs and kids. Its amazing how little you need to get by while building is progressing.. a bed.. a kitchen and a bathroom.. build the internals around you. We lived in a shed and caravan for a year while we built our tiny home.

DeWalt makes a screw driver/drill that my neurosurgeon used to screw in a head brace into my head so they could lock my head in place during Gamma Knife surgery. Made me laugh remembering seeing the Yellow and black drill when you were talking about being a De Walt fan. Love your animals!!!

Ya, ur gonna need ridge vents with that type of insulation on the ceiling but if u consider open cell spray foam u don't need those vents
