    Horchata Drink from Mexico
    1/2 c Old Fashioned Oats
    1 stick of cinnamon
    Soak oats in 2 c drinking water for 2 hours
    Blend mixture in blender for 30 seconds (doesn’t need to be high speed blender, if you have one it’s best)
    Pour the blended mixture through a fine strainer into a gallon pitcher of water filled with ice and mix.
    Add sweetener of choice to taste. Suggestions would be date syrup, maple syrup, coconut or date sugar.
    If using a dry sugar, dissolve in water first before adding to pitcher.
    Optional add 1/2-1 t vanilla to taste
    Store in refrigerator and enjoy in 3-5 days.
