Listening from Georgia i love listening to Andrew he makes it easier to understand God's Word 😊, i believe when you are saved and washed in the blood of Jesus i think you truly want to do whatever is pleasing to God, and if there is not a change in your life i don't think 🤔 you got saved, that's just my thoughts

is it a reasonable assumption that if you have not really changed since salvation that you were not truly 'born again' ?
Romans 12:2, it's just the process of renewing your mind after.
I went from hating God before salvation to loving Him after. It was a brand new desire but still had some terrible habits and wrong thinking

@oliverkent8429 the fact that you're even questioning it atleast gives me an inclination that the Holy Spirit is at work in your life!
I went through the same thing where it didn't look like things were changing for me, especially when I joined the military as a very new believer.
The biggest thing that helps for me is remembering who I am in Christ and that God does actually love me.
For instance, how long does it take a dog that has been abused for years to be transformed by a new and loving owner? Just takes time
I grew up with 5 step dads and a lot of abuse, so the idea of receiving love from God as a Father was not something easy for me, literally took years to even receive alittle.
I hope this encourages you in some way and here's a quick practical application--go to a mirror alone, look yourself in the eyes, and say Jesus loves me. Just wait a few seconds atleast and see how you react!
