I bought this yesterday. In love with it now. beautiful device. Excited about how much possibilities this thing has and the pleasure it will be to use it.. my cyborg abilities have been seriously upgraded! This, the note 9 and s4 tab.. Samsung are killing it.
Finally a great review! No gimmicky video tricks or transitions. No sloppy editing to piece together your voiceover. Music was pleasant and not too loud. And you didn't waste time with unprofessional and annoying side comments to take away from the review itself. This video has helped me to decide on the Samsung Galaxy Watch over the Tic Watch Pro. Had mine just under three weeks, absolutely love it! My first smart watch. I hate Bixby, too. LOL But have easily integrated it into my daily activity. I get between 3-4 days of battery life, and wear it 24 hours a day. Premium built quality, gets a lot of compliments and questions. Highly recommend it!
The Samsung Galaxy watch is a fantastic watch glad I got it with the s10 plus.

I do not have big wrists and I did buy the Samsung Galaxy Watch 46mm because I like the bigger watch face, I love the look of it and it really runs smooth, I Love the battery life and I am getting 2 1/2 to 3 days battery life. I have the Jeweler Watch Face (Jeweler Watch Faces) on it which makes it look very CLASSY - besides that the Jeweler Watch Faces brand is amazing just like my watch - Bixby has been doing good for me on my watch. Samsung Galaxy Watch is Way Way better than the Apple Watch........

I'm new to the smartwatch family, but im loving my galaxy watch. I don't like the box look of the apple watch personally, but the app support is pretty good on that side.
I'm not a smartwatch fan BUT this one look like analog one, that is a real good quality.
Shame it comes with bixby and not google assistant.
It looks more or less like a normal watch which is what I like.
I don't understand why Apple watch users watch these videos and talk alot of shit the verge just uploaded an Apple watch series 4 review get the hell outta here and go wacth it the s3 frontier is still better than the series 4

I’ve been looking at this watch hard since release. I don’t wear any type of watch now, gave them up years ago when I got my first Blackberry. It sounds like they may finally have added enough features/value to make it worth wearing. Very good and balanced review, enjoyed all the hands-on video of features in action. Question for your 6 week follow-up, how well does this compliment the use of your smartphone or is it redundant?
I've had mine 2 years And it's the best watch I own and have ever owned.I have banged it dropped it ran into door knobs,still not a scrate on it.I work out in the rain and snow.never had a problem.well worth it.
Whats your view on screen protectors ?I'm not keen on fitting one when mine arrives but some swear by them.

I really like how it looks like an actual watch in watch mode. The crApple watch looks like a shitty toy by comparison even though its probably much more expensive.

i love it, i sold my s3 frontier and when i bought the new Samsung watch i felt regret in a way, but i am loving it, and you know also the new watch seems maybe more accurate in counting steps since in the s3 i used to finish 6000 steps easyl and now this new watch barely i am doing 4500. but the watch looks and feels awesome.

Got it just a month ago.. in 2021.. still worth it.. in some cases better than galaxy watch 3..
Just upgraded from the Gear S3. It is a great watch. The battery life is much better than my Gear S3 an I like the two tone look. I can tell it is a little quicker than my Gear S3. The main reason I upgraded was the ability to swim with it. I do agree, Bixby and S-Voice are both terrible. I hope it is improved in the future with a software upgrade.
I wish they made a cover of any color for the silver part. Just clip it on. That would be dope!!

I would love to see what functionality is lost when using ios. Also how long does it take to fully charge? Great video!
Don't think I've heard anyone says "excellent fitness tracker" and Galaxy Watch in the same sentence. The heart rate monitor is pretty spoty at best getting reading whenever it really feels like it. Its supposed to read every 10min, I've had it gone hours without reading, and when set to continuous you see the same.

You are right. Poor choice of words or some words missing. Watch 4 is function for function better than G4. My comment is more about design. G3/4 looks 10 times better than any Apple Watch, including 4.
First of all, watch suppose to be round, face in the watch is round, not square! Apple design is nothing, no design. Little square cell phone style box. Check this article: goo.gl/yQMnHm it is about comparing the two. G3/4 has a thousands of beautiful watch faces. Chronograph, elegant, dark, bright, digital, a lot of data, small amount of data. You should take a look. There are videos about it. Apple watch faces are again total crap. Mini Mouse. Mist. WTF? Is that best whole Apple can come up with?

If you are buying this for its Health Tracking abilities don't. The HR sensor barely takes any readings even when set to continuous, when it does they're wildly inaccurate. I have a RHR of 54bpm, earlier whilst stood still, I had actually got a reading, but of 171bpm! Samsung say they're aware of problem and working on a fix. Will not give timeframes, size of team etc.. After experiencing the problems you don't have to look far on the internet to see that this problem effects all of their wearable and stretches back years.
Ordered mine last week, over here in Germany there is already a little shortage, so it might run pretty good.
Bixby is a major down, but since Bixby doesn't even work in german, I won't use it. Has been announced though.... let's all hope for a proper update of the voice assistant or some integration with the Google Assistant, which I'm using with my phone (S8) instead of Bixby. That one is working pretty good and is constantly improving..... could talk totally drunk with a pair of socks in my mouth and the assistant would know what I want :)
About the size:
I have around 18cm wrists, which is on the smaller side (though more or less wide hands and long fingers that are important for the complete image. The 42mm Version looked nice from the top, but way to thick from the side, where the black-silver-black with the slightly larger case maintaining the same thickness resulting in a less bulky look. Having the larger battery is another plus for the 46mm version. I think a 44 would be the ultimate version for me, but since there is none, I'll be pretty fine with the 46.... gogogo Samsung, restack the distributors , want mine.... now :D
I just got my Galaxy Watch today and I have One Plus 3. I can't see any of the applications from my phone on the watch. Does the watch only synch with Samsung phones?
Can you use Strava with this watch via the apps store ?

How do I free up space to continue getting notifications on my watch?
I do everything Apple, but haven't gotten an AppleWatch because I just don't like the look. Also, the idea of buying a new one after a few years doesn't appeal to me. Plus, do I really needed one? I much prefer the look of the Samsung. Still haven't been moved yet to purchase. I'm still attached to my other watches I wear daily.

When it comes to Bixby, on the Galaxy Watch it is actually just S voice under the new name. Bixby on the phone is actually really great!

Yes. I have the LTE and I only use it as a "backup" if a situation arises that I can't have my phone with me. Otherwise I have it paired to my phone with wi-fi set to automatic.
all the things you didnt like about it are things i would never use anyway.. Fantastic review and now i know this will be functional for me aw well as aesthetically pleasing for the watches i use. I also would not bother with LTE cuz its just another bill to pay blue tooth all the way.

OK I hope on that over posting. The watch came today and it was a really good decision I am liking it much better a true upgrade from the gear S3. Excellent video and it helped me make a great decision
Sucks that it only has Bixby. If it truly is a galaxy watch then it should have the ok google just like the galaxy phones.
I have a galaxy s9+ and can never get the stupid hi Bixby garbage to work, but I use the ok google all the time.

Actually I tried galaxy watch but unfortunately not convenient to wear it all the day due to the heavy wight and i used to take it off after few hours u feel your hand dray and regarding voice assistant need to be improve also I notes that speaker quality not that much good also once I record voice not that much good recorder but this watch strongly recommended becuase its the best 100% compare to the competitor

Great video Andrew. Yours is the most incisive review of this watch that I’ve seen. One thing I need from a smart watch is messaging ability. How does the Galaxy Watch stand in this department? Also does it work with WhatsApp?

It has a dedicated sms app so you can create, reply and manage your messages from the watch. The *problem* with whatsapp and other apps like that is that you just can reply on the notification itself, if you dismiss it you lose it from the watch and you have to use the phone. But it works great if you have that in mind.
Ps size isnt an issue because of 42mm option but a pity its not available in plain steel tho luckily 46 mm fit me fine [Tried it instore before buying online for $230 ]
