Cover crop basics- Field peas

I decided to plant field peas in my fall garden bed over the summer to suppress weeds, improve the soil's structure and nutritional quality.
Nothing could be simpler and we'll get some good eating out of the deal as well!

If you are not interested in the harvest of the peas, you may want to terminate somewhere around the bloom or shortly after.
I'm no expert but i've found info that implies...
1) The nitrogen will diminishes as the pods form.
2) If you go to full maturity and not harvest you will be tilling under a lot of mature peas that will become weeds in the future.
