I cut my barrel at the breech end but can't get a cutting tool in the .177 barrel to make room for probe and oring depth. Any ideas on what I can do? Maybe a reamer? I was hoping to sort out the breech opening so as to make seating a pellet better whilst lapping rifling for a smooth pellet exist /an11 degree muzzle etc. Any advice? Thanks!
Hi Andy sorry for the late reply "bloody nightshift" why did you cut the breech end and not the muzzle? Anyway the angle is 40 degrees so you will need a reamer that size them measure the standard one you cut off to get the depth right. Your power will drop off with .177 as its very hard to get the 22xx in .177 power up with co2. If its a pistol your building then thats ok but a rifle will struggle to make 10lbs on co2
I like the shortened breech, fits good!!
How do you shorten the gas tube and still have room for the internals?? Nice work, btw!
