Holy crap this conversation between Fabius and Cawl is honestly amazing I I would love to see a video format of this conversation. It would just be too mad. Scientist bickering at each other on who is and who isn’t right
This is my new favourite, holy shit. Despite Fabius Bile siding with chaos, it isnt without merrit and a few good reasons, to pick up the Emperor's work where he'd left off, truly this video is a absolute masterpiece as Bile would say. Bravo!
The problem with Fabius is that he's still sworn to Slaanesh even if he denies it. His work will never be finished, never be enough, no matter how he thinks about it, unless he finds a way to escape the grasp of the Warp entirely. He's also totally a slave to his own ego and believes only he can save humanity by "perfecting" it, but again, this will never end. It's also why he gave Clonegrim away, not because the cloned Primarch would actually fall (instead Clonegrim seems absolutely horrified and intends to try and repent for what he has done) but because if anyone is going to save anything, it's going to be Bile. Though his thoughts on the 3rd Legion being beyond help also contributed to this. The "good" version of this in 40k is Belisarius Cawl (still incredibly egotistical but fully devoted to saving mankind no matter the cost and will absolutely work with Xenos he sees as useful to achieve this in spite of what the Imperium says) and this is a reflection of what Fabius might have become had he stayed loyal. To be fair to the Spider, the latest phase of New Men seems to hold some promise because they are effectively immune to the Warp through the introduction of Null Genes.
Fantastic video, really makes you think about Bile’s true ambitions. This is what I love about 40k! Different perspectives really get you thinking what is best for humanity.
There is no doubt that the Traitor Legion would have been destroyed without Bile Mad Science, for without him many within the Slaves to Darkness would never be able to recover from their never ending war against the Imperium and the Emperor.
He should be named Fabius Vine, as in fabulous wine (Slaanesh). (Even if Primarch clone stories cause a lot of mess) Is it true that he is actually a secret puppet of the Dark Prince? For all his genius, when Fabius looked up into the abyss that was Slaanesh, he made a terrible mistake never to be made (especially with the Dark Prince), and one that the Silver Knight will make too: he blinked .
"You know, its funny how i now see what you are,Grand apothecary." The voice of the clone rang. Biles hearts skiped a beat and his air died. He turned hesitant. "You escaped... how?" "Oh please. "Well, you were able to clone me. However...i plan to burn the gods. And while im strong,my fire is a spark among trilions. i need your help, to turn that spark, into a inferno to drown the warp." Bile saw it. Sparks of golden and vibrant fire in were visible...bile hesitantly nodded. "...there are no gods." "Oh and i agree. The chaos gods are no divinitys. Only parasites. I plan to immolate and excise such things. Now. Are you with me? Or are you aganst me." "...where do we begin." Bile said. Few things scared such a seasoned astartes. A primarch was one such thing.

@@widdershins5383 The problem with Horus is that his Soul is gone, either eradicated or dispersed so greatly that it cannot reform even with the Power's of Chaos behind it. Fulgrim effectively took in the shard of his Soul that had split when his original had ascended to Daemonhood (because becoming a Daemon Prince/Primarch isn't you just better, it's Chaos taking your body, ripping everything out, and filling it with their own substance so that you are simply an extension of them). That's why Clonegrim is important, because he has what the other's lacked, that Warp-borne spark the Emperor imbued them with (possibly being from some coalesced Warp Entities of Order or some such), and this is also why Bile claims they are touched by the Warp. A Primarch without this spark is still a biological supercomputer in a superlative Transhuman form (the clone of Horus still ripped apart a whole bunch of Black Legion warrior's with basically no effort) but it's not got that inhuman charisma and otherworldly power the Primarch's have (e.g. if you cloned Corvus Corax that clone probably wouldn't be able to become a giant crow daemon thing). It's also why Bile gave Clonegrim away, in part because he was frightened that it would just do the same things again due to be intrinsically tied to the Warp, but mostly because Clonegrim actually held real power over the remnants of the 3rd Legion (including Bile himself), and Bile won't brook anyone above him.
He's had thousands of years to work it out, and given how time flows differently in the Warp, that could very well be far longer than people realize. Not only that but he's managed to steal both original material AND also some of every one of the Emperor's other creations (including Custodes which are apparently based in the Emperor's own genome). Also he learned from the Drukhari who are actively attempting to clone the Emperor. It would be strange if Bile, despite being an utter genius rivaled by a very few, couldn't clone a Primarch given that much time, even with the limited resources at his disposal. If he was in the Imperium working with Cawl they might have made something superior to a Primarch, at least physically, by now.
