Softball pitcher here. 🙋🏻♀️ Why on earth would you have a catcher pitch? 😂 I’d be upset if the men faced a catcher for this challenge. I don’t think either of these challenges produced “winners.” Also, I think the hardest thing for a softball player would be swinging a baseball bat since they’re not used to the weight. Contact would be easy if they can swing a softball bat at it.
I feel the softball ballers using a baseball bat to hit the pitched baseball would be a better idea. The weight isn't that different, when swinging the bat. (Not just looking at the numbers)
I played in the 30-40 men's baseball leagues in Houston and Austin. My manager called one day and said we were playing the all women's baseball team the Coors Silver Bullets on ESPN that night! Turns out we were not on ESPN but the Women looked great in batting and infield practice and we all wondered if we were going to lose so we played 100% like we would against men. We won 12-0. The women could not handle the fastball and were pretty easy to hit. Kinda like playing against teenage boys. Noticed the Silver Bullets on ESPN later that year and they switched to playing the over 40 men.
As someone who played baseball for 9 years, and theb switching to softball 2 years ago but can say that it is easier for baseball players to play softball, than it is for softball players to play baseball. This is just my opinion, but switching ng to softball was a lot easier than I thought it would be. The only challenges were adjusting to the ball size, and the release. point.

Lol...contact would be “easy.” Even if you made contact with a softball bat, it would break. They’re not composited to hit baseballs at that velocity.

Have to agree. Played 3 times more seasons of baseball then softball and find hitting a softball was easier to adjust to.
