Orski these games were so much fun to follow you through! I just got into Dune Imperium a couple months ago and found your videos a couple weeks ago. It has been so helpful to be able to follow your thought processes through the different stages of the game. Apart from the fact that this was the group of death, it is almost unbelievable that you are also able to commentate so well during the competition and maintain play at the highest levels. You are a legend and I look forward to following and cheering you on in more of this competition and future ones! Good luck with the rest of the games & much love from Australia
At 27:00 I like taking the alliance with the Guild, then shifting down on the Guild to go up with the Fremen. There’s no way green beats you for the alliance in the long run, and you get the alliance bonus twice, which lets you get High Council a bit easier. It also saves a bump with the Emperor, which comes in handy.
Ive had so much fun watching all these tournament games. Rooting for you all the way, all the way from Sweden! :) But also, cursing when I think that I see a better play for you. :) Thank you for putting these videos up. Looking forward for future games.
Having commentated on this game, was super close end to the group. Should be noted that Orski was not good for the win until plans got drawn, would have had 2nd place in the game due to yellow gaining spice in last combat, leaving orski in 5th spot in the group and waiting for results to see if he'd qualify. The group of death indeed...
Yeah I like to think the luck balances out - almost all of the influence intrigues were used to deny me alliances. If I draw one of those during the game I’m also probably taking down the W
Very interesting game! I was biting my nails when Orski could take Chaom Directorship and seemed to go elsewhere instead! I think that turn made his game, it was very crucial, even though both Bene Gesserit and Emperor alliances where taken away. And winning a game against Lannister playing Rhombur - that's quire some feat. A very well deserved win
Was a really fun game to watch. Congrats on the win and for advancing! On the first Conflict III turn you could have bought a Spice Must Flow by using your last intrigue to draw a card (would have been Bene Sister - a 2 persuasion card) and then using dagger to go to Tech Negotiation, putting you at 10 persuasion and thus still allowing you to go to Hardy Warriors and revealing for 9 persuasion. You would have lost out on the two troops and two spice from the Basin and also one fewer dagger from reveal (but you also only put one troop in from your garrison on Hardy Warriors with the line you took) so your total combat strength would have been 3 less. Not sure if it was worth the risk of losing the combat but not sure whether you saw that line.
SO nice of the other players letting you take that Interstellar Shipping back. I know I'd never have the guts to ask, even in a non-tournament game! Amazingly executed in all respects, really showing off your skill in this one!
Wow, great game Orski! I thought you piloted Tessia effortlessly. I mean, it helped that there were no other faction leaders such as Leto or the Baron to contend with, but still a great game. It also helped that Rhombus and Beast were beating the snot out of each other. The fact that you managed 3 combat points was clutch! Plans Within Plans! What can you say?! Btw, even if someone had Test of Humanity at the end, you still had Poison Snooper to draw so you would most likely have been fine for SMF. Everyone played well too! Always great to watch Lannister pilot Rhombur, just wasn't in the cards today. The Spy Satellites denial by Paul was pretty huge. Group of death for sure!

Hey orski, love the commentary, I’ve been trying to get into recording games for RUclips so it’s nice to watch others do it too. Around 46:38 you mention that beast is forced to reveal, but they have Reconnaissance in hand and 2 water, so couldn’t they have gone to research station if they wanted?
I just started playing this game. Early on in the game, he comments that it would have been a disaster to get seek allies first hand. Why would that be?
@@dennisbabych I'm actually quite tempted...there's been a lot of localized support in the community and its been very humbling. I also feel like there's a lack of strategic and information regarding the game itself. I do however lack experience in this department, I'd probably need some guidance on this but it may just be in the works!
one thing I dont like about this game is that there is too much power variance within intrigue cards. Some lets you draw a card or do pretty much nothing (blue here even trashed some of em at some point) while others are game changing like plans within plans.
is it normal at 28:48 that blue can put the troops from training drones straight into the combat? I think I've seen players doing it before but I couldn't find any mention of it in the Ix rules

18:07 Dagger to Tech Negotiation for Minimic Film. That’s your Choam Directorship.
19:36 he got there! Casting while playing in a tournament game is definitely tough.

Great game! Just noticed Elessar averaging over 10 points per game. What a madman.
Yeah Elessar was the first dune imperium tournament champion - this was a crazy high skill group

S4iler here, on round 6 I thought I couldn't put the last one but forgot I already had 1 troop in there before HL. Damn.
