Just returned from Inverness, N.S. a few days ago and this was our second trip to Cabot Links. It is, indeed, a gem and worthy of the accolades lauded upon it. Cabot Cliffs has every potential to meet or exceed its sister's beauty and challenge. The one criticism I have is that The Cliffs has been opened too soon ( ignoring the soft launch last year ). Consequently, the greens are being terrorized on a daily basis by far too many golfers ( both courses will see over 40,000 rounds played on them this year ). At this rate the grass will be hard pressed to ever get a permanent hold. Some might argue that the greens will improve by next year, but unless management either closes ( not bloody likely ) or significantly curtails traffic on The Cliffs, next year will be the same or worse.
