- Again, some insane battles in this episode, as well as some different music! I rediscovered the Pokemon Battle Revolution OST and it really feels fitting for Showdown Salt. Ireelyenjoy Bread that lariat deserved it tho. After two calm minds he should have just attacked. But the other statuses were crazy 😂.
The latias really didnt deserve it tho. It was 3 icebeams, at 10% chance per. Then it was frozen for 5 turns (20% thaw chance, reasonable). From the looks of it in order to win the trainer needed latias at 3x sp atk 3xspd to do serious sweeping and was probably running a calm mind roost stored powerset. The latias had leftovers so it was designed to be a special tank that boosts up. At 110 base special attack without investments in SP Atk, a 2x special atck + def boost stored power latias will deal 52-62% dmg vs vaporeon w/o any spd def investment with left overs this is a 3 hit kill, or 5 with wish. At 2.5/2.5 latias has a 43% chance to 1 shot vaporeon, again if vaporeon has no spd investment. At 3/3 its a guaranteed KO against every vaporeon, and could sweep if it doesn't get statues, at the least it will even out the game a bit, especially with all those hazzards. Attacking at 2/2 would have been a poor choice in every world(still would have been frozen, and would have had less turns to unfreeze in this particular world), the trainer played it smart when he went for calm mind.

Ice types are arguably some of the weakest Pokémon...so taking away their main status condition would make them even worse. I agree freezes can be annoying and maybe they could give it a slight nerf but I don't think it should be taken away.

I also had bad luck ones in showdown doubles. Was a random match and I had gengar, scrafty lead against i guess was vaniluxe and another mon I forgot. The vaniluxe used blizzard and froze both my gengar and scrafty when I did set up with gengar. Gengar died offcourse and scrafty did lucky thaw out when he was almost dead. I did send out another sweeping mon that could killed my opponent, on the turn i did set up for the kills, frozen again. 3 freezes in 1 game. And all I had was some set up stalling mons to win only and so I lost that game.

Never in a million years would I have thought a Vaporeon could 6-0 a legit team by itself LMAO. Another great opportunity given to me by Sacred. Got me dirty editor hands on that dirty Vaporeon in the first battle :'D Enjoy
Ngl that guy has a problem with a bad team build and also bring too addicted with status moved, like if he just went for attacks he might've done something - didn't help half his mons were weak to water or ice, luck notwithstanding

well there's a few easy ways to determine if a number is divisible by a few smaller numbers such as 2 or 3, this sometimes helps when simplifying large numbers. BTW it simplifies to 353922711/50000000000000.
353922711 = 3*17*53*127*1031
50000000000000 = 2^13*5^14

It only damages the "original" hp. Pokemon with 100 HP will lose only 99 HP, even when it gets more HP by Dynamaxing

I think I can safely say since I started playing pokemon for over a decade I've never inflicted a freeze status upon anyone. But I've been hit by it multiple times. The ice pokemon gods hate me.
I felt that first battle. I was grinding the battle tree, and 50% (about) of the blizzards that didn’t knock out my Pokémon froze them. It was ridiculous
