I never watched the anime but I did read some of the manga for this series, so it was nice to see this video and get a bit of the taste of the anime. I liked how you chose to portray the story, I found myself slowly remembering different elements of the plot as the video progressed so it was a great refresher. The music coinciding with L's death was perfect, I really felt my heart tug there with the pacing and anticipation in the video. Of course the next scene 2:18 with Light's laugh over the lighthearted music is fantastically creepy!
That's cool, I haven't read the manga, but this portrayal of the show is great. I believe it's the same creator as the author of the manga, but I could be wrong. Whatever the case, the dub is worth it and the story is good... up until the Near and Mellow stuff, but thats my personal preference.
I thought the same thing in the manga, I was so disappointed when L died that I stopped reading all that Near and Mellow stuff and skipped to the last volume. Netflix is actually putting out a live-action film of Death Note in 2017, which is making most people anxious, but I really trust Netflix with making quality film and television. I'd say the most off-putting element is that none of the main cast is actually Japanese. They've cast an American white boy as Light, which will take some getting used to... However, I can't complain too much about their lack of racial congruency because they've also cast L as Lakieth Stanfield, one of my favorite actors for his work in black film and television, and I think he will be nothing less than fantastic.
I didn't know who the actor who was playing L was, but when I saw he didn't look like L, I was disappointed. I am hoping his acting makes up for it. I am not against him being colored or anything, I just was excited to see a live rendition of Death Note that wasn't... that 2002 movie with the okay Light actor.
"Reality leaves a lot to the imagination." What can I say about this video that I haven't already? It's clear you put deep thought into every clip choice and cut. The anime/song choice is a perfect combination. 1:39 Light channeling his inner Sephiroth. XD I think most won't even notice that's a mask unless you point it out....and I already told you I liked the audio editing too. You are not allowed to stop editing Threadsy, ever. Don't let other people bring you down and ruin your craft.
I'm so very glad you uploaded this jewel... It's so perfectly and adorably flowy and creeping into your mind and under your skin at once, such a perfect mix of dark and light... There's something special and superb in all your vids, and you said you didn't dedicate this to me and this is still my b-day present somehow, so THANK YOu!
I've been watching your stuff for years and you never cease to impress me. I'm actually quite surprised that more people haven't discovered the absolute joy that is your videos. It's their loss. I will keep enjoying them as long as you make them :) And I think that, even though Kingdom Hearts is my usual cup of tea, this one is up there on the favorites out of your other work. I wish nothing but the best for you, in real life and online.
Well if the other comment was motivating that one was extremely motivating! Thanks a lot. I am sorry I havent been much interested in editing Kingdom Hearts as much, but I hope you still enjoy the content anyways as slowly as it appears. I wish the best to you as well!
ruclips.net/video/cZkR0doEwyU/видео.html Here is a video my friend Lacrymosai did as well to Death Note, which was around the same time I did mine and neither of us knew we were doing it. Haha xD The conversation went as follows: Lacrymosai: I'm working on a Death Note video. Threads: OH SHIT ME TOO!? TO WHAT SONG? Lacrymosai: It's probably not the same song xD Threads: WHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICH??? Lacrymosai: Nightmares in Paradise by TheEngimaTNG. Threads: OH thank god I dont have to scrap my video. Mine is to Pure Imagination by Fiona Apple. XD Cuz I was scared he was doing the same song. Nice little story there, enjoy.
