Nice to see someone take the time and patience to do a job the correct way.
This is an underrated build! I'm just as excited to see this done as I am with the charger wagon! Two extremely different builds that showcase Dave's skills. Awesome!
If you continue with the restoration like this with your superb attention to detail and endeavour to return the Keller to stock it’s going to be an outstanding restoration and fabulous set of video’s, I for one are loving them so far. Keep it up your doing a great job.
This will be an amazing build ! Thank you for taking the time to save this car Dave !!
Breaking studs happens more then you think and any mechanist can get them out no problem this will turn out to be a great build.
I use pulidos plating near Dallas. Two options for chrome, normally quick turn around.
👍Great progress on the woody. Can't wait to see it rollin' down the road.
Cool progress report on the '48 Keller! Thanks Dave!
A skilled person with an oxy acetylene torch can melt and blast out the broken studs without damaging the block. We used to do it for broken studs on Ford Flatheads, and exhaust studs on many other applications. Its much easier on through holes but it can be done on blind hols as well.
Dude, you love the nitty gritty So do I. Keep it up
Studebaker used the dana 23 in the 6 cylinder champs 48-51
Making good progress. Honest in farming it out to experts
I feel like Dave could make a business restoring classic and vintage cars or even a customs shop
Take it slow and easy, Dave. Don't miss one piece of restoration. Disassemble, categorize all parts, clean them up, buy new barings, seals, and gaskets for reassembly. 😁👍👌
Bravo on removing the rear drums from the tapered axles without damage. A lot of Studebaker owners struggle with that task! I wouldn't fault you for modifying them to be flanged instead.
Its always really tough making the decisions on how to restore a car like this one. I like the idea of putting it together so you could actually drive it instead of just being a museum piece.
Hi Dave thanks for sharing this update video.
Looking forward to seeing the new paint job and glad ya found out what parts came from said cars
When are you going to do Episode 7
Love everything that you do love you videos keep up the good work love your channel keep up the good work
Great progress! Looking forward to the partscomingmback,
Good morning Dave and thumbs UP!👍👍
Nice to see it coming along.
Great job JD
I've been loving watching this! Crazy this was in a junkyard 😮
TY Dave!
Great work as always. God bless
Congrats on reaching 200k sub. 😁🎉
Awesome rebuild Dave. 🙌
my dude, its penetrating oil. You simply spray it on and walk away for an hour or 2. let it seap in and do its thing. I like giving it like 3 to 4 hours with an extra spray every hour. It doesnt work 100% of the time, but its better than nothing
Great job I can't wait for more updates
This car video is incredible. ❤️Can’t wait for the finished results🇬🇧🧐🫶🏻
Comment tu peux sabler des pistons ????
C'est des pièces usinées qui en AUCUN CAS ne doivent êtres sablées.....!!!!
Incroyable de voir cela .....
Great work Dave.
Fellow You Tuber who has a machine shop in Colorado, I hope your talking about JAMSI Machine shop.
Next time remove the socket from the puller before hammering lmao
Really enjoying the Keller restoration ! Question: What cleaning solution are you using in your Vevor ultrasound ?
So far simple green and and 5 gallons of water work perfect its also what Cerakote recommends it cleans all the rust off and everything but it also removes zinc and nickle plating
Should check out an hydro blaster ( similar to sand blaster, but water) for cleaning parts. Seen one on the garage 54 channel for cleaning engine.
You heat the bolt until red then spray it down with penatrating oil , repeat until out
It’s Nice to see someone actually doing something properly not bodging it up, that power washer is meaner than my wife 🤣
Hope you know how to put it all back together and set it up .. I.e. backlash etc .... Great video
Hope you marked all those conrods... 🤔🤔
You're sure going to a lot of trouble with this Keller, even replacing good parts with new parts. It's Incredible all the different brands of parts they used to build this vehicle. Good that you can still find parts for it. How's the Hellwagon going, still waiting on parts?
Welcome back it’s been a while
i hope you noted the orientation of the pistons to the rods etc.
Keller 👌👌👌👌
👍👍👍😎😎😎cool
Will you use the Original brakes master cilinder or will you upgrade to one with two pistons?
Me.......I'm not going to completely disassemble the differential since it had such low milage. And I want to save myself some work......
nice progress Dave, but the video are too short, keep on wrenching ...👍
HOPE YOU KNOW HOW TO PUT THE CAR BACK TOGETHER 😂🇬🇧🧐🥇♾❤️
Any updates

Any updates?
Either Dave has the largest hands on RUclips or those axle tubes are tiny.
Update?

Great channel but you need a new camera picture is dreadful in places 😵💫
do you NOT have a work bench? jeez
You should keep all the parts you replace with the car. If you ever sell it, the next owner might be a stickler for original parts.
I agree completely.
When are we getting updates on this rebuild...? 😀😇
Hopefully soon trying to get the charger done and out of the shop then I'll be back on this
Thank you !!!@@Junkyard_Dave
WAY TO SLOW.
There’s almost certainly asbestos in those brake shoes
