It's haunting to hear the vocals like this. When you have headphones/ear buds on the vocals seem to be everywhere in your head and now i hear it clearer. Amazing
Always the harmonies on this one. III and 4 are my favorite vocal LPs. 4 sticks is a great vocal performance. Short lived but 70-72 plan was amazing and influenced millions of singers
I really love the compressed vocal sound, but I never noticed the cut off of the limiter. And there seems to be a subtle and undulating reverse-reverb and occasional echo happening in there.
I was also there. What a battle eh? The song seems to overlook some of the more barbaric events and dumb-down many aspects of medieval warfare, but I guess we should be pleased the battle is celebrated in song. Most aren't. Abba's plucky Waterloo being a notable exception.
To write the lyrics, to think of the arrangement THEN actually SING IT .... its been blowing my mind now for for over 5 decades !! This is TRUE talent - coming up with this out of whole cloth, just amazing ! The Yang to 'Bron-Y-Aur Stomp's Ying ... Try listening to it on a chilly, full moon lit, fall night somewhere around midnight when you can clearly hear the fallen leaves rustling and watch the tree branches bending back and forth with the breeze, the light changing as the clouds pass in front of the moon and disappear back into the dark .... proper 'ambiance'. Just a suggestion :-)
I don't even consider artists who use gimmicks like autotune worth listening too. That shits for teenage girls with no soul or appreciation for the talent of real singers
the voice of Sandy Denny was perfect to fit with Robert in that song ....
Plant's voice appears to be double tracked in a few spots. Denny - what a voice.

Happy Celestial Birthday, Sandy.
Man, Sandy's voice is completely unconventional. Absolutely phenomenal. Thanks for sharing.
The photo says it all, how important and powerful they are
The wonderful voice of the much missed Sandy Denny.
that's probably the best isolated take yet. Got me guitar out and all. Wonderful.
Robert Plant and Sandy Denny
Wow! It's even more eery this way.
The older I get the more I feel this song.
I had no idea that the second voice was Sandy Denny until yesterday - magic!! I thought it was all Rober Plant, what a song. 🤯

That was a real treat to hear, thanks @Ludwigson
Some of my favorite lyrics ever--now even clearer! Thanks!
Plant's voice, powerful, unmistakable. He and Sandy are great on this song. It's fun to hear JPJ do this part at live shows 😊
was that him? I always thought it was Page. '77 tour
Plant still the greatest voice of all time
Sounds like a bunch of drunks to me
@@bruce-z9p You're lucky to have such talented drunks in your area, mine don't have that level
Oh wow!!!! Awesone!!!!

Others have tried to cover. Nobody touches Sandy Denny.
I liked Najma Akhtar in the Unledded show .
Bellissima
Canzone😊
As someone who was actually _at_ the Battle of Evermore, I don't think the song does it justice.
I was also there. What a battle eh? The song seems to overlook some of the more barbaric events and dumb-down many aspects of medieval warfare, but I guess we should be pleased the battle is celebrated in song. Most aren't. Abba's plucky Waterloo being a notable exception.
@@skwyou5686 difficult to capture in words the horrors...perhaps the echo effect provides a level of eerie terror
You were manning a food truck 100 miles behind the lines, Throat. Pipe down.

Wow I can hear Jonesy's harmony in there
All harmonies are by Plant.
fenomenalna slkadba,ak isto interpreti,super.
Simplesmente maravilhoso!!
So very glad Terry Reid said no.
Steve Marriott too
Marriott didn't say no as much as Page was threatened by Marriott's management if he continued to pursue him.
This is so scary it's beautiful. ~-~-~ This is so beautiful it's scary.
Awesome before auto tune sucked the life out of music.

What kind of echo reverb are they using man sounds killer
Plant🎉
who's the dude in the background? is this some talk show?
Sorry, the Wilson sister's harmonies blow this away. And they do it LIVE.
Sandy Denny was just incredible!
Nobody sings better than Sandy Denny. And I absolutely love Heart.
No doubt Heart’s vocals on this is beautiful but “blows this way”?!?! Common, really?!? This is incredible.
Is that you, Cameron???
