    I can only imagine and admire the total dedication, talent, effort, and time that has went into creating such an amazing piece of art. The curvature and realism is absolutely breathtaking. You don't always see that aspect of realism on other 3d model ships.

    I'm sure your team probably know this but if not, I'm going to mention it regardless. Im trying to pass this along in hopes someone sees this. On RUclips I have seen a video called "making Titanic's clock", and at the 8:25 mark of the video he made a discovery about the sphere under honours foot. He believes it was more than a simple sphere. He believes it was a globe and judging by his description of the atlas lines, marks, & archive photos, he might be right. Check it out, and get it modeled in the game if true :)
    Love all the hard work all of you on the team do on the exterior and interior every day.

    • @RobbyHouseIV
      @RobbyHouseIV 6 лет назад +1

      I rather tend to think that prior to this video's _"discovery"_ about the spherical ball found beneath the foot of one of the two figure carvings of Titanic's iconic _Honor & Glory Crowning Time_ clock was indeed known to be the representation of a World Globe. I mean we can immediately eliminate the possibility that the Classic Greek inspired sea nymphs depicted in the clock were actually kicking around a soccer or _futbol_ or whatever they're calling that dreadful sport by this year. Anywho...it's all very interesting to say the least!

      You will probably have to play on lower settings. But it's hard to say when the game has no other mechanics until they finish the mapping area. I played demo 3.0 on a 1080TI with no surprise to me on high settings at 60 fps with no issues.

    • @gameleaker9179
      @gameleaker9179 6 лет назад

      Realisticly speaking , they most likely will be animating the water rather than applying real time aqua physics. Computers are not ready for that amount of load yet. adding real time water physics on top of the already demanding UE4 enviroment would require power equivilent of NASA's computer. Take for example Nvidia's PhysX demo , a program simulating water that needs full gaming pc's resurces just for a small compartment like a bucket of water. Now imagine that in a full scale titanic model
      Of course that's not bad news either, as you can animate water inside the ship as you please , that means water in different levels of the ship being higher or lower than others, without the hustle of the water physics box . That also results as a better recreation overall, as devs have full controll of the situation in the game . Physics in games can be glitchy sometimes. I cant imagine the work they have to put so water particles dont glitch out in such a big model

    I'm making the hull plating currently. Im nearly 80% done. It is excruciatingly tedious and repetitive with changing angles. I am aware that there are some mistakes in my model. Due to a combination of my silly errors which i didn't notice or think would snowball as i progressed, and also because i can't afford to buy original plans at the moment.
    I wish i saw this video before i started. But im willing to redo it because the ship deserves the respect.

    Good day! I really like your project, as well as the history of the Titanic. I see your efforts to create this legendary ship. I am engaged in ship modeling, and the game shell. I created several marine tugboats, dry cargo ship, two floating cranes. All models are made in the highest detail. I created several models of diesel engines, one of them completely with all the internal parts. By the way, my main specialization is a marine engineer in the mechanical part. Write to me if I, as an expert, are interested in you, I have something to show you. I would be interested in participating in the creation of a Titanic power plant. GOOD LUCK!

    Curious question, for tge cad plans did you happen to use the robert hahn plans or bob reads, i know you cabt purchase reads plans anymore just curious. Also how much consulting did you guys do with Bruce Beveridge as im sure his book is among the many used in the making of this model. Wonderful work! It will be the model to end all models. So many more questions but that was the most prevalent in my opinion.
