Very tempted to switch over to C4D. Have been working inside blender for a decent amount of time. Curious if anyone here (I know you all are majority C4D) has been able to replicate the tube effect in blender. Something that seems pretty easy just doesn't seem possible in it. Very cool regardless and making me that much closer to converting! Cheers!

This was amazing! I was curious on how to achieve those rope effects for quite a while. Thank you very much!

a better way would be to have the Spline with a spline dynamics tag... so u can fix it.. but also move it around..

How he did to make the balls inside the tube bounce with each other?

26:30 just to be absolutely clear. i can drop down the rendertime in vray to 1 min. the question is does redshift give you the quality that vray has. and to me no. vray is still king. theres a reason why the biggest VFX studios use vray. not because its fast because it does the job it needs to do. for insta loops sure use whatever but if u want quality, vray is it.

Of course, you can drop down Vray to 1 min. At that time (when I switched from Vray to RS) I was using Vray 3.2 for C4D and it was only CPU based and did not have a responsive IPR window. I think I really wasn't clear at the IBC and I am sorry for that because I was only referring to a specific project. I had a really complex scene and the average render time was about as I said, between 10 and 15 min. Then I switched to RS and rendered the "same" (of course almost the same ) much faster. The fact that I could use the IPR for lighting and texturing was a big time saver + the render speed. I reckon that Vray now is getting faster and faster as well. I don't want to discuss too much about these things, it is kind of a neverending story. Everybody is free to use whatever they want. For me was the right choice, but I'm convinced that Vray is a super great renderer as well!
