Liked the shorter overview style to the report, and the army list showcase at the beginning, only suggestion would be less shakiness on the eye level recording
Thanks for the feedback! I am not satisfied with the level of shakiness either, so much so that I have put a steady cam rig on my christmas wish list hah. But it is definitely the one main gripe I have and want to change for the next one!
@@ero9841 Thanks for the feedback, I'll see what I do in the future, no format is set yet, but I personally like a bit of an overview when I like to have lots of close ups of the action. But the timing and whatnot is bound to be tweaked in the future 😊
great report and very pretty armies! appreciate the editing, the introductions and not focusing on every single dice roll - keeps the runtime reasonable and doesn't hinder the momentum of the battle. Very enjoyable to watch.
@@somedude3795 Thanks man! That was what I was going for, having it not be too long. Although we did rush a bit on the recording when playing the game, so that is also a factor + why it is a bit wobbly at time, sometimes I just didnt have enough material hehe. It is a learning process, but the aim was to not have it be 2 hours of dice rolls hehe
Great armies! Your choices for setting this up seemed very good. It wasn't boring a second. Quality of the top down camera would be the most important thing to change for me. Thanks
Beautiful armies! Strongly recommend getting a stabilized gimbal for taking video to reduce the shakiness. You can also correct for it in editing, but combining both would produce the best result.
@@heindrich1988 you are 100% correct, and it is the main reason it took a long time to get edited, I was a bit demotivated by the shakiness of the video and the briefness of the clips of the game. It is THE main thing I am focusing on going forward. Also I added a stabilizing mount to my Christmas wishlist, so if I don't get it there I'll buy one myself 🤣
Damn this is your first batrep? If put a fraction as much effort in improving as you have in the armies (which look great), the army backgrounds (which is great) and creating your own overhead rig, these batreps will probably be some of the best on RUclips. Excellent job.
@@derekgehring2771 That is some high praise right there, and much appreciated. I am not sure I will ever be able to compete with the best out there, but I can hope to improve it to my own - and hopefully my viewers' satisfaction and enjoyment 😊 I will certainly try!
