Your enthusiasm is contagious! Love it! 😂 Beautiful pen! I love the pink inks but you can't go wrong with just about any ink you choose!

Haha, thanks! I totally agree about the wealth of options for ink in this pen, but yeah, I picked a pink ink for this month. June Currently Inked video coming soon!

I love this video! I just ordered the Montegrappa Elmo Marshmallow from Goulet, and I am sooooo excited. You and Ginger Peachy definitely played a role in my purchasing it! Love your enthusiasm. Your channel is one of my faves!

Aw thanks for watching! I feel like we’re all influencing each other LOL! I was influenced by videos from both Ginger Peachy and Seemownay. I hope you enjoy your new Montegrappa.

Gosh this is in my cart. I’ve been influenced. I never thought I’d pay so much for a steel nib but it’s soooo cute! And I’ve never been one of these swirly whirly pen types but that seems to be changing too lol

LOL hope you enjoy it! I’m slowly moving towards the swirly things, also ❤️

I got my Marshmallow just last week, and had the same conundrum about ink lol. I chose Diamine Hope Pink for the first inking, which has that cool undertone. Next time I'll probably try one of the Sailor blues. But you're right, so many possibilities. Enjoy!

Yes, so many possibilities! I’m still having fun discovering new matches for such a beautiful pen. Have fun!

Congrats! On the weight thing, they don’t advertise it but it has half metal sleeve in there. I think it came and went and came back with dif iteration of the Elmo? Def makes it stands out against a sea of acrylic pens.

Thanks! Yes, the weight in the barrel makes it feel sooo nice in my hands. It definitely stands out against all of my other pens.

I think you really like the pen. Love the enthusiasm. You need a cotton candy ink.
Congrats, now only 2 more regions to go. I must warn you though, a pen out of Bologna doesn't come cheap.
How come you got a pen case?? May be because it's a Goulet exclusive??
The flecked pattern is called 'cracked ice'
If you want nice feeling pens you have to try ebonite and celluloid. The old celluliod that I am talking about is not generally made anymore. Both of them are warm to the touch, and ebonite is very tactile or 'gripy'. Urushi lacquer is also nice to the touch. Oh, so you have the Wancher, so that should take care of the ebonite and I don't know if that is urushi lacquered or not.
Thanks for the shout out! My favorite pen brand is OMAS. Yep, it's Italian. There is OMAS (not the revival) a thousand levels, then Pelikan.

LOL yes, I really like the pen. I'm casually looking at Scribo Piuma; that may be my next Italian pen, but I'm not in a rush to get one at this point. Oh, pen sleeves aren't always included for Montegrappa pens? It's a nice touch. Cracked ice, thank you! I fumbled so much with my descriptions because I couldn't remember the proper words during the video.
The Wancher is ebonite without urushi lacquer. I am interested in adding celluloid and urushi pens to my collection…someday. Because of the price range, I'd rather wait for pens/colors/designs that resonate with me. I've heard great things about OMAS pens. A thousand levels, ha!
      As always, thanks for sharing.

@@lifeinspiresdesign If you're interested in vintage you could get some celluloid pens at a decent price.
I just got a SCRIBO in a BBB, and it sings; I love it. They are also descendants of OMAS so it already had my attention. Oh OMAS, why did you leave us??

Ooh yay! I got this pen also because I love the look of the body with the gold trim (more than the silver trim). And I have to say, I loveeee how this pen writes! I enjoy it more than some of my gold nib pens. Even though the pen was a bit pricey, I don’t regret the purchase at all because it brings me so much joy to use it, look at it, touch it.

Yes, it's so great! I paused at the price, but now that I have it, I do not regret it at all.

I only recently got in to collecting fountain pens and have not yet delved in to the Italian brands….however, I am going to Rome next week!!!! 😍 Loving you4 collection!

    • @ironmic9244

Congrats on delving into the wonderful world of craziness. Close to half of my pens are Italian. I love 'em. One piece of advise though. Figure out what type of pen is comfortable. Really focus on the dimensions of the pen length, weight, but more importantly the girth of the grip section. This might not seem fun at first because you want to buy the eye candy but in the long run it will serve you better. Usually people buy to try and end up with a whole lot of pens before they figure out what they like. Then you either have a lot of pens not being used, or you have to expend time, energy to sell the pen at a discount. A nib can always made to customize your writing, but the pen dimensions can't after purchase. I for one, will 95% of the time buy a pen with a grip diameter larger than 10mm and a #6 size nib. Once I reached that level my enjoyment of writing shot to a different level. Now I have some pens that I know I won't likely use. Not many, but still.
In Rome check out two spots. Novelli and Stilograph Corsani. Both Marco (Novelli) and Stephano (Corsani) are very knowledgeable. Have a great safe trip

Great advice, Iron Mic. Of course, I was swayed in the beginning by the appeal of popular pens and bought them before doing the "boring work." I'm only now getting around to examining and culling my current collection since I've noticed that some pen experiences are more pleasant than others. Doing that work on the front end undoubtedly would have prevented some regrettable purchases.

I got this one too, in a fine, and I really love it! I was surprised by the weight, but not in a bad way. It’s just so nice to look at I keep taking it out to scribble nonsense with. 😅 Also very impressed with my Aurora 88- these are my only Italian pens, but so far I have a really good impression! Maybe a Leonardo is next. :)

Very nice! You've got two really great Italian pens; I look for excuses to use mine, as well. A Leonardo would round out your collection nicely whenever you're ready 🙂
