Finally they look underneath before buying and see its a rust bucket....but still buy it!!
You'd think they wouldve learned that way earlier 😂
@@ramvidot4037 lucky they have the TV contract to bail them out as they'd never make any money as a business.
Yeah, poor Alfa…I’m Italian
I have been working on beetles and buses for 20 years and this is literally every cheap bad repairs from the past I've ever seen on a bug done now
Good job 😊
Which part? Laughable.
With 56 years of vintage VW restoration behind me. An entire front beam replacement is easy enough. If you need a quality rust break use a 50/50 concentration of ATF and acetone.
9:20 - i think the first thing they should fix is the steering wheel of their Land Rover. :D
These old Beetles always seem to be rust friendly. It becomes a case of what the buyer sees...
Next time you're cutting away rust, cut it all out, and don't overlap the new plate with rust still behind it. You always make the new plate match the hole you cut out, never do overlapping.
Ginger is from The Welding School of No Idea.
another awesome episode ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I owned a Beetle many years ago. I knew they were in for rust hell before they bought it. They would have been better off removing the body, buying a good used / new frame and go from there. But, I know they don't have the time and money.
Colour combination looks just like a German Police Car !!!
vagy hitleré az cabrio
After hearing all the hype about and love for the VW Beetle I eventually got to drive one. I thought it was horrible. Not only that but when I tried a Porsche it was horrible too, just a slightly squashed Beetle lol.
I think they’ve never gone so wild shopping for shiny parts, to eventually mount on a rattle can painted rust bucket. What did the script writer expect to restore a cheap Beetle sitting in a grass field and turn it into an acceptable car for less than 1k ?!?
If they would only do one job nicely from start to finish.
If it was so close to being finished and road legal, why not just do a second week and try to double the money or better by finishing what you started? Plenty of one-off two-episode stories in other series.
It's perhaps more about sticking to a studio script than actually flipping cars
You doing 70 percent but give up on the rest 30 percent 😂
Why have a wheel free ramp and spend most of your time on your knees under the car, does the ramp not go all the way up?
Why didn't Will fix that wheel on the trolley when he was getting those parts lol
All The Panels Are available And cheap
I remember these driving arrowed new in Germany. The seats are not original thats for sure. With that stering weal, it maks is one of the latest models, befor they went to Brasil. Bring it up to factory specs, 10.000 pound.
Old used car, always, always get under it with a torch and screwdriver to check for rust. That Beetle would have been fine if not for the rust.
The number of times they are caught buying a rust bucket surprises me.Check underneath before you buy.
Lol, again Gus loves to paint wheels on a car that ends with no mot.
So he gets 70% of the welding done and quits? Edd China he isn't...
Well I remember EC quitting on a SUV, was it a Suzuki, that he couldn't get MOT'd. It was rust on that thing, too, if I remember.
El dueño de ese Beetle me tiene que pagar para que me lo lleve de su propiedad, si me lo regala me está estafando! 😂🤗😆😅
The steering wheel on your Range Rover is all over the place when you are driving.
17903.6 is 179,000 miles right 🤣
Don’t understand buying the parts, paint, labour to sell a car which has indemic front end rust, with no mot, at a loss, am I missing something here?
As someone else had dubbed them: "Flipping Idiots".
Nothing on that Beetle that can't be fixed properly and relatively cheaply instead of being bodged up as these guys have done.
They should have left it for somebody who actually knew what they were doing.
Yeah. These have been recommended a couple days ago. Seemed interesting. Have been giving the episodes a look. Sadly I'm concluding there's to much bodging. Not appealing at all. These two could have had something special only if they took a bit more care.
)350 to do steel wheels they got ripped off big time
Right, it costed me 60, for a set of 4....
Season 3? 🙏
my first car was a 1200 beetle with fabric sunroof from a auction in Glasgow in the 70s I just got it home to Cumbernauld & the engine blow up then got it fitted with a recon that also blowup after the warranty was up I had changed it into a beach buggy style chopped it was the worst car ever & ended up full of rust I then bogged it up like the seller had done to me & took it to a auction in Glasgow & another mug bought it 😠
Should have just cut the losses instead of pouring good money after bad into what is clearly rubbish
The dude cant read an odometer. It was 17903 and 6/10ths.
Bugs roll over every 100k
Just another staged and scripted show. Powder coating is a needless expense. if you can paint a car you can paint wheels.
Fire the script writer ….
as long as it looks good it doesn't need to be structural sound. this was just a horrible episode
En serio?cambiar el tapiz por sacos de arpillera!!! Con una limpieza bastaba
Exacto !
🤣
You selling e car before you want whats Rong is whit the car
Is this a comedy show, more British Humour ?
I looked at the Triumph Spitfire episode
700 to buy 200 in parts. Sold for 1800. , 850 profit
What……… NO
80 + workshop hours @ 50 per hour ( wages Rent expenses) = 4000. Net loss = 3100 a specialist should charge 75.
The Alfa Romeo was the biggest joke on us 3000+ as parts on EBay or 4000 as a Touring car race replica plus cost & parts. Sent to crusher …..nett loss 3850 - 4850
Fine comedy lads…..very subtle 😂
They might be better investing they're time and money in the pub..
I would never buy a car from these clowns.
These two need the basics, lift all theses shit boxes up before buying. Total useless to weld all up.
🤔ever heard the saying’ quit while ure ahead?’ 🤦♂️ ridiculous.
No clue, actually made the car worse
Ginger strikes again. It's 17,000, 903 and 6/10ths of a mile. Not 179k miles FFS. The clue is the last digit is red. Gee - what could that mean? And with that severe rust it's "Run away, run away!" Clueless bastards. That is a parts car, pure and simple. Ginger's right - it will never be a "Pwizewinner". God Almighty - those appalling seat covers. And in the end they lose 35 quid and a week's work. Talk about clueless. Front beams are available and dead easy to install. With MOT would have gone for much more.
some of the worst welding jobs, I have ever seen ! Beetle parts for metal repair jobs are so cheap, next time, please buy them new !
