The power of water is amazing. 3.5 inches really can make a powerful run. Loved the ridealong. Could see the impish twinkle in your eyes to almost cross that 1 path. Yes the adult won vs the kid in you but I would have debated the do I want to be a kid or should I be smart and not get trapped. Good tour. May it all dry out in a good way. Tally Ho

Hey Lefty. You're not old enough to remember what the flooding and destruction was like for that region after Agnus went through in1972, I was 5. My great-grandparents lived just off Rt 11 between Danville and Northumberland. The closest he (great-grandfather) could get us to Danville was about two miles west of town on Rt 11. The last two miles into Danville were flooded out. The Susquehanna River was so high, that a diesel locomotive was left abandoned with the engine still idling, with water up to the walk boards, roughly four feet of water.
Most people don't realize the power of water, until they witness it at flood stage or above. Next September, take a trip to the Bloomsburg Fair and check out the high water marks painted on several of the buildings. The marks for 1972 are about five high.

We lived above an area where a big creek flowed into a really big river. We have witnessed some unbelievable flooding over the years. Many towns downstream from us nearly completely flood annually. River through the downtown. All of this flows into a huge lake. The power of water is both beautiful and terrifying! Be safe!
