    I think that the world has just lost its mind because instead of going through all this struggle if every individual installs a solar panel in only their house then i believe that we dont need to deal with all this problems like the AC current will work perfectly there will be minimum energy loss etc. PROBLEM SOLVED!!

    Solar panel ki generated current VDC hoti hai usko long area ma transmit krny k liye VAC ma convert kia jata hai aur StepUp kr k transfer kia jata hai. Q k line loss DC current ka ziyada hota hai AC current sy. Is liye hi DC current efficient hony k bawajood transmission AC current ko hi kia jata hai.

    It will be difficult to create solar parks there, and transportation of electric current wires through the dessert will be a challenging process. Also, there is a geopolitical reason behind not building solar parks in Sahara because by doing so, the dessert countries will become a source of energy, and those countries will be in demand and, therefore, the dependencies on countries like Middle East and other countries will get reduced significantly.

      The middle east is already facing challenges from EV. Nothing new for the Middle East. The dependency on Fossil Fuels will definitely gradually reduce in next 2 decades. Till then the Middle East has various opportunities to be economically safe & protected

    We use AC current over DC, as AC can be easily converted to DC with low cost , but DC to AC is higher. Your statement of conversion of AC to DC with expensive transformers is wrong.

    transmission of AC can be enhanced using static var compensators( Studied in my college project) , this is a a cheeper solution then installing a new substation between any two transmission power destination.

    Amount of AC current can be changed to reduce subsequent loss of energy that is why it is more sustained than DC.

    11:30 correction - solar panels produce DC electricity not AC. Also not a transformer but an inverter converts DC into AC. Transformer doesn't convert current but its main function is to step-up or step-down the voltage. To convert AC into DC a rectifier is needed not a transformer.Hope you understand🙏

    That was desertec project in 2008 where Europe was supposed to invest in africa and get electricity. But with the boom and ideas to do it in north Africa, it failed. Biggest reason was recession. Many companies had filed for insolvency.

    U don't need to cover the whole Sahara desert. A very small square area of solar panel in Sahara can generate electricity for the whole world. So a very tiny amount of area can easily cover the whole electricity requirment of Africa

    You described wrongly PN semiconductor... In P type we substitute silicon from trivalent impurities of class 13. And in N type we substitute silicon from pentavalent impurities of class 15.

      Yes. VDC current is more efficient but can't be transmitted long distance. That why we use VAC because we can easily StepUp it with transformer and transmit to long distance. And then easily StepDown as our requirments or rated Voltage. For transmit VDC we need to use booster which is far more expensive then VAC transmission system.

      Because of reasons like Inductance and reactances present in AC line and absent DC line its consumes more power for longer distance.
