I originally ran him with martial master and had him hold Byleth with Quality Time+. With my Alear also holding Corrin and sticking with Jean he was the chain gaurding king and kept my A-team super healthy on the map. I also maxxed out flashing fist, which made him able to nuke anybody if he really wanted, it was a good way to get rid of threats for my carries. On a second run I'm thinking of making him a Sniper, because that 95% dex growth looks super appealing. May be able to make him a crit machine with killer bow and a crit engraving like academy or something.
Everyone in the comments talking about what they did with Jean in their first playthrough, meanwhile in my first playthrough he was immediately thrown onto the bench
I remember i wanted to use him on maddening. The one and only level up he got, ended up in a hp increase. I was really excited to try him, but that didn’t give a first impression. Besides I learned this later on, apparently maddening has a increase cap for levels, so for example within 10 levels one gets a maximum of 25 stats (for example)
Jean as a General. My first thought was: wait they have Mech suits in Fire Emblem? Let's face it, there is no way his feat reach the ground in a General's armor. 😁
@@Dokgo22 I may make him an axe hero instead. Between his crazy speed, dex and passive he could be very deadly while being able to keep his double hit tag atk from class passive. I'll see how it goes lol. May be better to just go with a class that main axes completely as he should have a ton of dex and bulk
@@Dokgo22 ya, he is probably my favorite unit. To take advantage of his bonus to staves he is probably excellent for griffin and royal knights and all the S rank jobs. Specially sage with A staves and S rank tomes :3. He is lovely
I think we need to train this guy on how we can train Jean to be a real monster. This guy must get Jean to level 10 either as a Martial Monk or Axe Fighter. Then, we must master seal him over to Beserker (or second seal him afterwards if a second seal was not previously used to get him to get axe fighter prior to reaching level 10). Then, he must level 10+ times as a Beserker before reaching resistance/dexterity cap of 11/23. Then, transition into warrior for higher caps and still very respectable hp and strength growths (especially if you factor in Starsphere if you are using DLC). As a Beserker with starsphere, his strength growth is 95% while as a Warrior, his strength growth is 75%. Finally, when he levels 10+ times as a Warrior, it is time to transition him to his mid-late game class -> A God tier Paladin.
Can you made Jean a bonded shield martial master to take advantage of his even growths? He should gain exp healing with martial Master class skill? Or I'd make him a gryphon rider
To my knowledge those two playable characters can get +2 HP growths in normal or hard. In maddening they would not be able to get +2 due to locked growth rates
I think Alear should have a guide. I find their default class to be underwhelming. Alear has access to all of Leifs proficiencies, along with staves, knives and lances from the other emblems. Lots of reclass options here to go over.
That isn't a bad idea to see what classes she can work good in. I think she would be a great General class but honestly so is every unit in this game LOL
@@Unpunk4K kinda boring making units with unique classes into the same generic classes youve used for the past 12 entries. if you wanna use general use one of the retainers like goldmary fr fr. and losing dragon type is a big thing to lose for most emblem pairings.
Jean: I going to become a doctor one day
Alear: thats cute now put this armour on
He is also crazy as a warrior or berserker with highest hp maybe 2nd to Boucheron but literally better lol
@@Dokgo22 the little dude is just broken at any class lol

I’m looking forward for Boucharon’s video. I really like him but it’s difficult to make him any good
I'm a huge fan of Alfred and I can't wait to see if you make a video for him.
I went with Monk made him a strong spell book breaker.
On normal, but I recently rerolled him to Griffin Knight, we'll see how this goes
Day 1 of asking Unpunk to do Anna next the character guide series

I think I'll make him a warrior personally. I want him to have axe and bow and the status growth seems good too

i run mage knight jean. super underrated.

Lapis!, Lapis! ,Lapis!
i have him as a martial artist and now i have to think how will i level the rest of the units to his level
it is possible to get +2 in a stat, i only saw it on KP by Boucheron and Panette though.

My friend actually made Alear a general and its worked out well. General and Great Knight get so much bulk for free
