I am genuinely shocked Ann Arbor didn't come out on top. Community gets national awares for Moch Trial, student newspaper (the communicator), composition lit books, and our sports teams win crew/rowing/rigatta national championships every other year. So do our football teams. And I know community HS graduates (classes of 120) get accepted into literally every ivey league university in the nation, every year. And I imagine it's similar for other schools. We also have cool electives, you can build your own courses at community HS via independent instructors (professionals in whatever industry) or even U of M classes. Plus we have a technical HS at our community college.
Ann Arbor would place high, we have Waldorf/Steiner k-12, regular education k-12 Emerson, arbor valley academy, central academy, Ann Arbor Academy, and Green Hills, Clanlara homeschooling program, Irish catholic k-12 st Thomas, spiritus Sanctus academy and Gabriel Richard, main-line catholic k-8 st francis of assisi, lutheran k-8+ university, islamic k-12, and a hebrew k-5. You would be hard pressed to find more variety. I'm sure there are a few others I missed. Detroit area has good private schools, too, but imo the best place to raise a family is ann arbor. Super safe, great night life/culture, museums, parks (both developed and non developed), etc.

Surprised that Berkley Schools didn’t make the list. Berkley High has been consistently rated as one of the top high schools in the country, and it was most certainly the case when I was there. What’s the house price spread for Berkley School district? I’m sure it’s a lot less than a lot on this list but it includes Huntington Woods and parts of Royal Oak (which as we know are both expensive, Royal Oak appears to be giving Huntington Woods a run for its money in real estate prices it seems). Even parts of Berkley are getting up there.
My school, is the best. They legit are the kindest ppl, gives us fun, and a lot more!

Berkley school homes are going for about 180-675 but most are right around 300k

That’s a big fear with moving that the special needs school is horrible.
