    I’ve in Rochester Hills for ten years, Bloomfield Hills for ten years and Birmingham off and on for 16 years. I live downtown one block from Shain Park. I told my wife the free reserved parking spot in front of our house is worth a $1 million bucks and the house is thrown in. Love it here. Walk to everything, shops, restaurants, theatres, Starbucks, bakeries, barber, dentist and so much more really don’t need a car most of the time. Great schools too and we have 22 parks. Very safe.

    We live in Rochester Hills and love it! Bought our home when the economy was bad, back in 2009. Our house recently appraised for twice the orginal listing price. We actually live on the same street where Madonna's childhood home is located. Rochester is a great city. Wonderful schools, amazing downtown, beautiful parks, great shopping... And a fantastic college, Oakland University.

    I really miss living in Huntington Woods. I lived there for 23 years and it was the best city I ever lived in. Once I finish up my Bachelor's Degree and get myself a good job I'm gonna save up and hopefully make enough to live there again one day.
    I'm currently in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area and while it is nice down here, and there are more million dollar homes here than in all of Michigan, it just doesn't feel like home to me. I really want to move back to Huntington Woods or someplace close by it like Berkley, southern Royal Oak, or even Ferndale once I finish up school. Wish me luck!

    Troy = Volunteer Fire Department (really); big Indian population; entry and mid-level engineers.
    Novi = Large Asian Population
    Rochester Hills = Better educated and Macomb County people move here. Lots of auto managers.
    Huntington Woods = Favorite Jewish suburb; Beverly Hills School District
    Grosse Pointe Farms = Older homes, close to Detroit, once-thriving school district not so good anymore. The really affluent send their children to "the Academy" on Lake Shore.
    Northville = Voted "snobbiest" suburb by HOUR magazine. Think "nouveau riche".
    Beverly Hills = Adjunct to Huntington Woods.
    Just sayin' The Detroit area is really a series of demographically defined "villages". Pick the village you want to live in.

    Dude. Grand Rapids, Holland and Traverse city has a lot too, especially divided by there population and also taking in consideration some of these millionaires who live there in some areas are seasonal so they may not show up in the data but they have a mansion and stay in it so many months a year. Kalamazoo and Ann Arbor has plenty too.

    I would disagree on some of these cities, it seem you only including metro Detroit. There a lot of wealthy cities in Michigan, if I had 1 million dollar home I would choose any these cities. To crowded I would like it better in Traverse City. Ann Arbor or Saline Michigan very nice, Grand Rapids has very rich areas and close to Lake Michigan. I travel for work, work around all these Metro Detroit cities, don’t like that you only have to drive not to far then in a high crime area.
