    Very good painting you are really good at it! Can you tell where you found such a detailed model?

      Thanks! I usually put model address in the description. This one I got from cgtrader a while ago but last time I checked it was not there anymore.

    Hey! I'm 3D printing young Kratos right now and i want to paint it. I was wondering, do you use some kind of special tape like in 3:07 ? Because i'm pretty bad at painting and last time i messed up with the tape so...

      It's a flexi tape that can be bend into curves, I use it when I need soft edges. Other than that you need to take your time and be very careful and precise when masking your model. I know it anxious process, but needs to be done. amzn.to/3kizRPT

    Could you please go into more detail about the skin tone? I'm trying to do this same model and I can't get it right at all!!
    Also what is the weird putty stuff you used to paint his tattoo? I'd lobe to get some

      It's hard to give you a good advice since I usually premix skin tone in bottle and then I mix it again according to my current model. But to simplify, pour in white and add a bit of your favorite skin tone color. It needs to be really pale, unusually pale. Also, it is important to apply it on white surface. Then you adjust tone with "filters" (transparent washes) to balance it right. Also when you sprinkle red and brown dots on your model it will add warm tone to it, so thing about it, always work with thin layers and its better to use more thinned paints to avoid mistakes. There is no exact process for me, I just do it as I feel it and most of the time its different with each statute I do. Second question, its a masking putty, in US they usually call it silly putty, basically its a oil-free plasticine. Google for "masking silly putty" .

    Love it ! When you do all that washing to that sandy brown Color .. why not just paint it like a dark brown ? Does the wash do something special ? Noob question :P

      @3DPainting  2 года назад

      Good question! So the trick behind this is that the base paint still "shine through" transparent washes. On some places is wash coverage better and on some worse which makes nice uneven natural look. You may even wash off a bit with alcohol or thinner for more wear-like look. You can't do this just with single layer of one lets say brown paint. Give it a try and you will see it will take your models to next level ;)

      Dude if theres no link/address to model it means it doesnt exist where I bought it. And since I don't want to advertise unofficial sellers I wont provide the link. But if you google "kratos stl" I am pretty sure you will find this very same model somewhere
