Hey Thomas, I just got into 3D printing and painting, and saw your work on Reddit and was amazed at what you can make. Despite this being your first tutorial (assuming), the tutorial was great, not only in the way you explained it but also showing the results of these techniques. With that said, thank you Thomas for making this tutorial, and I'm looking forward to future tutorials if you continue making them.
Yo KoolKid! Thank you so much for the kind words! You should send me some of your work 3d printing on reddit! I do plan on making more videos. I have a ninja turtle making an appearance in the next video.
Great work. Im printing a kratos sculpture on my peopoly phenom as well . Im finish printing the base it has a lot of pieces to it. I waited a long time to print kratos and i dont know if i will paint him the sculpture looks good in gray . Thanks for sharing and happy creating.......
One question, did u thin your paints or just use them right out of the bottle? Went ahead and subbed. I just got into 3d printing and am using paints from all the places u named. So I like seeing videos of model painting using those and they still come out looking just as good as any other painted piece.
Sorry for the late response. I've been away from you too since I started back school. But to answer your question I do not send my paints I use them straight out the bottle. Unless I'm doing something that requires a very thin line to be painted.
Wonderful. Maravilloso. So, you don't thing using vallejo and citadel ans stuff like that is really necessary? Because that would make my life easier. I mean this is not a mini... eventually i will get into that... apple barrel still good for those?
Great video . The result is outstanding !!! One question : Did you thin the paints ( with water or another medium ) before applying them or there is no need ?
There is no need to thin the paint out. The only time I thin the paint out is to make a wash which I show in the Michelangelo video. I just thin it down with water when I do. Otherwise, I just paint at the consistency at which it comes out of the bottle.
Ive been facing the dilemma of using primer. Ive used every kind of primer. But I hate having to wait for it to cure... Ive painted some nice pieces with just using black acrylic as a base coat.. Think imma go back to it. You are the first person Ive seen do the same on RUclips. Great job btw.
Wow! I’m new to painting and your video will help me a lot. I will try to do the same work! I have a bambulab printer, I hope to have the same level of finish! A small question: how long does it take you to paint a figurine like this?
@@aymezemouri2942 you should not have any problems with printing files on that printer. If you do just comment and let me know and I can try to help. The hardest part is filling gaps in between pieces but I go over how to fill them in the video. Good luck and thank you for the support!!
Hello Southpaw! Thanks for the follow. I do not offer that but if you hop in pretty much any 3d printing Facebook group and ask for a print I am sure there are plenty of people there that can print something off for you.
Congratulations on your work I met your work by chance. You show that with any painting you can achieve a job well done. I hope more videos also follow you on Instagram. Best regards like and sub

I have actually switched to pro acryl paint and it saved me a lot of time. It is more expensive but I find that it's worth it
