    I like the larger versions of "Baby Yoda," because I can use hooks closer to the sizes I normally use on afghans with worsted-weight yarn, and because I have a lot of stash yarn I need to use up. Like how you were able to use different yarns to create the different textures (alien skin, coat, scarf).

    Really wish you would have written down how many stitches there were on ending each row. I'm on the ear, and I think I am missing something. On the first 2 rows of the HDC and now sure how many I'm supposed to have. 30 or 31? Bc when I started the row of decreases, something was off.

    Thank you so much! So I have a question instead of using stuffing can we use the same color yarn to stuff with? I know it'll be a little bit more money but if it shows through it's not going to be white... do you think it would be too stiff?

    • @CustomComfyCrochetByDawnMarie
      @CustomComfyCrochetByDawnMarie  4 года назад +2

      lucy gardner this is a great question- you could definitely do this for very small projects, but for this size project the amount of yarn you would need would be exceptional. It takes a lot of stuffing - almost an entire bag - you would need several skeins of yarn and even then the yarn having a much heavier weight would make your project lumpy and heavy. I would definitely not suggest it for this project.

    I’m confused at the ear part at 51min where we do a half double crochet. You say afterwards that we’re supposed to do three rows of half double crochet, is that in addition to the first row that you do with us (making a total of four rows of half double crochets)? Or is it only two more rows of half double crochets after the one row that’s shown in the video?

    • @CustomComfyCrochetByDawnMarie
      @CustomComfyCrochetByDawnMarie  4 года назад +1

      GettinginLine Caroline -it doesn’t matter that you are doin the chain of 2, but I will go over the pattern briefly with you:
      mc/4sc and then another round of 4sc - then you will increase for 4 rounds with 2 increases in each row. After that you will do 4 rows of sc. then you will start increasing again starting with 5sc and 1 increase all around (2 increases per row up to the 10 and 2tog increase) you will continue to increase up to 10sc and 1 increase all around. Then you will do a row of sc then you will do an increase round of 2sc and 1 increase all around (this will be more than 2 increases in the round) then you will do 3 rows of hdc. Then you will do a row of decreases - 2sc and 1 decrease (2tog) all around. To finish do 4 rows of hdc. If you are following this exactly you should be fine, however if you are using different yarn or a different hook this can effect the finished look of the pieces. I would suggest watching my video on tips and pointers for the Yoda. I hope this helps, I will leave a link for the tips video below.

    What should the stitch count be after the 7 rounds? When I start my first decrease round I always have one extra stitch and I cannot figure out why 🥺

      Erin Parrish when you get to the end of the round do a 3together decrease instead of a 2 together and you should have the stitch count you need 😊

      lawrence torres the 2 and 2 increase is: 1 sc, 1sc, then 2sc in one stitch and then repeat all around- is that what you’ve been doing?

      @@CustomComfyCrochetByDawnMarie i see where the problem is you say in the video we're going to put in our next stitch one sc go into the next and put TWO SINGLE CROCHET instead of saying another one sc i keep putting 2sc in that second stitch. but thank you for your help and your video i can't wait to see how it gets for me.

      I think you might be counting that first loop - don’t worry - just count back 4 stitches and work into that, skip the 5th if you still see one. It will turn out fine

    The poly fil is always $2.99 now. The 5 lb box has been lowered to $14.99. However you can no longer use a 40% off coupon on either the bag or the box.
