I used a broken driver I found at the course shoved into the ground to replicate this method. I'm naturally steep and I love how it forces you to get shallow. did about 100+ reps of this and only twice when I got out of my groove did I hit the club. great drill
Clay, great videos! I joined Top Speed Golf a few weeks ago and I'm seeing a ton of progress! I just built a simulator in my garage to be able to practice the drills that you have in the courses. What brand of hitting mat do you use in your studio? I want to make sure that what I hit on doesn't hurt my joints and is close to accurate so that when I go on the real course my practice translates to real grass. It looks like it might be an EZ Tee Hybrid?
Only problem I see with this is you’ll be starting maybe to shallow. I am fighting this problem right now. Starting real shallow can give you a tendency to come over the top after an overly shallow take away.
@@TopSpeedGolf- Thanks, Clay for the innovative way to achieve the shallowing. As queried by someone else, what would be the appropriate angle for other clubs. Regards,
Great swing aid. I have used it for over a year now and it has really grooved my swing.

I just cut a block of wood and drilled a hole at a few different angles. Cost me less than 5 bucks lol

What about the angle for a fade, and what are plate angles for the other irons and woods,?
Or can you use this training aid for a fade?
Hi can I just ask where you can get the vertical plane for all the irons. The driver is 48 degrees on tour is that right?
Clay, I live near Heathrow. How much do you charge for lessons?
I don't do in person lessons but Top Speed Golf certified instructor Robin Rosado does! topspeedgolf.com/in-person-lessons-with-robin-rosado/
I come too far inside and flip, so doing it over would be better right?
How do you shallow while doing 'the move'?
How do I know how far back the swing plate should be behind the ball?
Good question

This isn't the way the seller is showing. They show going over the rod on takeaway.????????????
You can do that too. It only really matters how it comes down in the downswing. Play well!
@Top Speed Golf - Clay Ballard good to see ya. I remember our you tube interactions from your Top Speed Tennis days !

Is the 60 degree angle recommended for all clubs, including driver?
No, longer/shorter clubs will change the angle. You should be able to Google a chart
