I managed to sell all the chests successfully but they were pissed and started spawn killing me
How did they know where you were and that you were gonna come out with so many chests that it would be worthwhile to camp around the dark sea for so long?
@@aleostrik1019You can use reveal potions, even at a good distance it makes them glow like a lightning bug in the dark. Also, if you ride the edge you can sometimes glitch the view distance to see farther. I do it to know if someone is in that direction and find another area to enter.
@lokey2573 happened with my and GhillieGreen. Like 5 people from white lotus stayed in a server for like 2 hours waiting for us to come out of the dark sea with 80 chests. Luckily we had other ppl telling us what they were doing so we successfully sold them.
If a microscopic particle of cocaine spawned inside my nose for every dark sea chest i lost due to an atleantean ship that obliterated my ship while i was in the middle of looting an island, I'd be in the hospital suffering from a lethal overdose
Two big things that will help for people As seen in the video, putting your chests in the captain's quarters is actually a pretty good idea, because passing players won't see that you have a lot of stuff at a glance and may just pass by rather than trying to attack your ship to steal your loot Secondly, make sure to check the age of the server before going into the dark sea. If the server is older than 15 hours, it's probably not a good idea to go. You don't know how long your expedition will last, and the server could restart when you least expect it. The 10 minute warning is not enough. It takes more than 10 minutes to get from the insanity one area back to the bronze sea, it really isn't worth it to risk it And my last piece of advice is to fish! Find an island in the Insanity 1 region (or higher if you're weird) that has a beach, park your boat next to that beach, and fish. If you're near your boat, you can brace any time a wave is about to hit so your health doesn't just drain. Fishing in the dark sea can get you tons of really good loot. It takes a bit, but it's worth it. Within 20 minutes of fishing in the Insanity 1 region, I managed to get multiple exotic scrolls. I’d like to add that invisibility potions are extremely useful in the deeper layers. In deeper layers you will obviously find bigger badder scarier Atlanteans but with a good enough invisibility potion you can walk past them and steal their stuff.
Either you plunder a ravennean king's ransom worth of galleons and exotic shilings or get bombarded by enviromental shenanigans like the curse of zeus, or wrath of poiseidon or a Armored brig named "The Black Death" coming towards your humble abode at mach 3 containing the deadliest atlanteans known to man... regardless, have a jolly plunderin with the dark sea yarharhar
One thing to mention about Atlantean ships, their timing can be VERY inconvenient which is the reason for 90% of my failures in the dark sea. Whenever I get into a fight on an island with an Atlantean or sirens, they always spawn and shred my ship before I can finish the fight and get back. And when your boat goes down, it’s gone for good. For this reason, never engage enemies in the 1+ insanity ranges, always bring invisibility potions. If you really need to fight them for drops, bring a friend and take turns watching the ship so it’s not unprotected. Trust me, it’s SO annoying when you lose your 50+ sealed chests to a ship you never saw coming,
They need to nerf atleantean ships or make an update so atleantean ships can only target ur ship if it's moving because it's rlly unfair to lose hours of dark sea loot to a ship that I had no way of defending against. and if your ship sinks while in the dark sea, you can't wait 2 minutes to spawn it again, which is also insanely stupid

Also like to park the ship in a way where I can just click sails up and it can immediately take off, mostly in case of an Atlantean ship attack

Big tip he failed to mention, The compass will always lead you to 0, 0, 0 of the map, which is usually the Pelion Rift (If u keep the purple part on the North part of the compass) Another tip, DON’T LEAVE CHESTS ON YOUR DECK, put them in the cabin, people can see the chests and raid you yknow Also, go to Frostmill to redeem chests, cuz who tf is gonna check Frostmill? I’ve never checked but I think you can do it at Thorin’s Refuge too but I’m not too sure on that
personally with atlantean ships I usually fight them after sinkign them because when yo uhave a lot of AOE you can jsut damage the mall at once and if they fall in the water theyre easier to fight, and after that the dark sealed chests are worth it
Fun fact: sunken armor actually gives water poisoning immunity as a hidden stat (or it's sunken sword i use both so i cant tell) so if you somehow have a sunken item before a brig you can still do expeditions
@Lord_Akkon I think that the umbra guy is bullshitting us. I've worn two sunkens as vanity and one for stats during my expeditions and I've still gotten it, though not as often as my friends it seems. It might just be my imagination tho.
i was always wondering why my armour kept getting nerfed like crazy, apparently the lightning destroys all armour thats vanity, which is why my bracelet keeps getting nerfed
On siren islands I usually try to be as sneaky as I can until either a siren notices me or I get into the cove without any sirens spotting me, from there I grab 2 dark chests and bolt outta there. Just an easy and quick method for those who don't care much about siren drops. (Be careful about them pesky wind sirens flinging you off though)
I got my hands on a warship archaic hull and I put it on my caravel. it actually stood up to the first level of the dark sea pretty well and as I left the dark sea I got chased out of the dark sea by 4 giant white eyes which subsequently chased me all the way to redwake lol.
pro tips: - load ship with cargo to repair (your boat takes a lot of dmg) - use a warrior or magic file (best for grinding the dark sea npcs) - if you're using magic, use surge. and if you're using warrior, use siren bow and / or commodore kai sabre - grind to perfect brewing & cooking and bring revealing potions and food with you optional: brew invisibility potions to farm dark sealed chests if you don't want the drops from the npcs
Something else for everyone to know is that you need a LOT of time. Me and a friend went on an expedition, came back with around 20 chests, but it took us an HOUR AND A HALF. make sure you have plenty of time before you go.
Heres my list for a dark sea run: ESSENTIAL: Health potion. If u are low, just drink it. Dont risk the lightning/water poisioning. Water breathing: you WILL fall in the sea with no stamina at some point, especially against wind npcs. OPTIONAL: Luck potion: use mystery 5 brew, its much cheaper. Warding: only for deep runs or high insanity builds. Invisibility/slowness: only for deep runs
If you are on the see and you are REALLY deep in the sea, but you get water poisoning, but you don't wanna leave your steering wheel due to the disasters and such, this is easily solved by asking for help before you enter. I recommend asking the top players in your server, or the lowest. The lowest level does not know what to do and most of the time aren't the smartest, I know it's a bit bad to do such without informing them about much. Most of the time lower levels have not even heard of the dark sea yet or know that your allowed to go in. Nor of its prizes. Obviously, if you make it out give your helper a few or half of the treasures. "But Ali, I want the chests for myself, I need it for the rewards!" Alright, but just think about it, if you can pay a new player like 1k-3k for them to join you but for you have for you to have all the chests too, they can't go back once in the dark sea without dying once noticing it was not worth it. It's the best way to go in all honesty. Most of the time they want the money for useless stuff.
As the wiki says if your vanity equips are different from the limb loss immunity items and they themselves also aren't limb loss immunity and you will lose limbs.
It's not about stats. It's simply such armor models like iron or sunken one, do not allow limb loss engine-wise. So you only need vanity, stats don't matter.

Siren islands from the insanity 2 layer and higher are the ones that spawn 4 chests, but they’re harder since they have 5 sirens. An easy way to kill them is to just go inside the cave - that way it’s easier to hit them with blast or other skills since they get stuck on the walls

personally with atlantean ships I usually fight them after sinkign them because when yo uhave a lot of AOE you can jsut damage the mall at once and if they fall in the water theyre easier to fight, and after that the dark sealed chests are worth it
Fun fact: sunken armor actually gives water poisoning immunity as a hidden stat (or it's sunken sword i use both so i cant tell) so if you somehow have a sunken item before a brig you can still do expeditions
really? i use sunken chest and ive gotten water posioning, but i barely ever get it. maybe its the helm that does it.
@@dude_chilax Wuh breh I didn't know that Ive just been spamming bath because I didn't know what water poisoning looked like.
Cap, I use sunken set and sword but still get water poisoning
@@dude_chilax maybe as vanity? Just like limb loss?
@Lord_Akkon I think that the umbra guy is bullshitting us. I've worn two sunkens as vanity and one for stats during my expeditions and I've still gotten it, though not as often as my friends it seems. It might just be my imagination tho.
i was always wondering why my armour kept getting nerfed like crazy, apparently the lightning destroys all armour thats vanity, which is why my bracelet keeps getting nerfed
thats not what nerfed means. it was getting destroyed, not nerfed.
make sure to reenable music in the settings since the game plays a song when an Atlantean ship is chasing you
On siren islands I usually try to be as sneaky as I can until either a siren notices me or I get into the cove without any sirens spotting me, from there I grab 2 dark chests and bolt outta there. Just an easy and quick method for those who don't care much about siren drops. (Be careful about them pesky wind sirens flinging you off though)
You can get rid of the water poisoning effect by standing under something

OUR SHIP
@@aimsellWill you please give me the ID? Asking for a friend👉👈🥺
I got my hands on a warship archaic hull and I put it on my caravel. it actually stood up to the first level of the dark sea pretty well and as I left the dark sea I got chased out of the dark sea by 4 giant white eyes which subsequently chased me all the way to redwake lol.
pro tips:
- load ship with cargo to repair (your boat takes a lot of dmg)
- use a warrior or magic file (best for grinding the dark sea npcs)
- if you're using magic, use surge. and if you're using warrior, use siren bow and / or commodore kai sabre
- grind to perfect brewing & cooking and bring revealing potions and food with you
optional: brew invisibility potions to farm dark sealed chests if you don't want the drops from the npcs
3/4 of my dark sea voyages usually ends in my death lmao. It’s infuriating, this is a great guide thank you.
Something else for everyone to know is that you need a LOT of time. Me and a friend went on an expedition, came back with around 20 chests, but it took us an HOUR AND A HALF. make sure you have plenty of time before you go.
Heres my list for a dark sea run:
ESSENTIAL:
Health potion. If u are low, just drink it. Dont risk the lightning/water poisioning.
Water breathing: you WILL fall in the sea with no stamina at some point, especially against wind npcs.
OPTIONAL:
Luck potion: use mystery 5 brew, its much cheaper.
Little tip about Atlantean ships: you can easily determine if it approaches by music; it changes to battle theme
I thought that the limb-loss immunity thing was the other way around? That it would only protect you if it was equipped as stats, not as vanity.
Idk, i only seem to lose limbs when my vanity isnt armor
As the wiki says if your vanity equips are different from the limb loss immunity items and they themselves also aren't limb loss immunity and you will lose limbs.
It's not about stats. It's simply such armor models like iron or sunken one, do not allow limb loss engine-wise. So you only need vanity, stats don't matter.
Great video
Awesome bro 😊
Thank you, great work.
Only guide I’ll need. Not the only guide I’ll want.

I got stuck in a crack in an island while carrying a chest and had to reset so that sure was something…
I have had this happen to me it it a very annoying thing that would be great if Vetex would fix
As hero I always take some cargo and I use it when I get jumped by a lot of atlanteans ship and my brig is like half hp, I can use the cargo meanwhile I'm fighting or slipping away, if I haven't use it I just go to sell it
i found this big ass hills in the middle of dark sea and i had to climb up to bring down every sealed chest and everytime i went down one of them would dissapear for some reason. and i heard glass shattering so i run the f*ck away
My favorite AO RUclipsr 🐐😍
Siren islands from the insanity 2 layer and higher are the ones that spawn 4 chests, but they’re harder since they have 5 sirens.
An easy way to kill them is to just go inside the cave - that way it’s easier to hit them with blast or other skills since they get stuck on the walls
spam surge from the cave while fighting sirens
Unrelated but we getting server lists soon, can play on the dark sea without a ton of lag
My dumb ass getting struck by lighting on my way back and fall off my ship and get eaten by a white eye after accidentally double jumping off my ship to stand up making me lose 30DS

Got a 15 Ketch worth amount of dark sea chests
only to get sunk by a gang of brigs that spawned from thin air while I was killing sirens
i always use the secret tip thing, i just do the remove torso option and wear a chest with a cape to maintain drip
i died in the 3rd insanity range once due to water poisoning because even though I am a metal magic mage mage with several attack destruction sub stats was for some reason unable to make any holes in the wall with my magic and i tried in several spots that the the terrain should have broken easy. I don't know why but sometimes it seems like the game just glitches and the terrain can't break in arcane odyssey.
i was actually pretty scared to go the dark sea but after the tips this vid gave me i went there and got really great loot and got lost for 30 fucking minutes so yeah
Tip: Have someone with clearsight 5 sit on the front of the boat to scout for the captain
What if I don't have friends 🗿
You dont need to fight sirens
Just run in, grab the chests. then run out.
if you want their loot, siren bow is insanely useful for fighting atlanteans
@@aimsellI haven't found the siren island, do you think stormcaller bow (the one from elius) be viable for 1st insanity zone?
But loot :[

Thx for the guide and btw what is that dash and how do you get it?
everytime aimsell kills a siren he becomes an insell
I stopped doing the dark sea after a hat trick of utter bullshit.
1) I got water poisoning and my bath wasn’t working
2) I just… died?
3) I crashed with 20 chests and an elm island treasure chart
As per my perspective insanity 0 layer is the best their is everything in the layer
Yeah but sirens are rare af and the loot isn't Al dat
Thank You
there is a way to remove Water poisen if your on a island by standing under a roof it goes away after a few seconds

Hey I got a question when going to the dark sea when did you start putting your chests in the captains quarters because I didn’t see people do it till I told my friend. If you did it in the beginning then I probably didn’t start the trend. Just wondering since I would like confirmation that I started a trend.

yo aimsell , do you think warlord boxing is good?
all i do in siren islands is i make an invis pot with jellyfish it gives 5 tries with 1 regent sirens dont attack you
