I’m going to get either this one or Sunless City this weekend-I’ve never played the original Souls board game, and these seem so much more accessible-I really like how you can roll dodge and block at the same time

Does this require or benefit from the base game? I would like to pick this up but don't own the base version.

This is a stand alone game. If you have the base game it can give you an extra player to play up to 4 players but you certainly don't need the base game to play this.
