to be fair, It seems like if they launched at the same time, and the Golf R was left in auto, he would've won for sure. Also didn't seem like the Golf R had traction control off all the way since even my mk7 golf R stock squeals tires on launch with it off with all the carbon build up at 85k miles
Especially impressive with that 235/40 18. I honestly thought he'd have massive week spin or break loose at some point shifting. That tall first gear definitely helped.
@@carcrazynyc996 it doesn't seem so but we may be wrong, but I know he's wrong for shifting gears himself instead of the computer cause that last race looks like he got a better take off

They're sponsored by NOS. The joke is Nad's licking the can like a giant dick needed to be censored. Vin was literally drinking one 3 seconds before without the blur.
It wasn’t about the driver’s reaction time in the Golf R. He didn’t used the Launch Control. Without LC the DSG has this lag even in Sport mode. Launch Control would give about 0.8 sec to 0-60 and with this extra he could’ve been the winner. Anyway, that Volvo is crazy. 👍🏻😃
AND he was changing manually..i find the golf r dsg is faster when it changes it self at redline rather then short shifting be at 6k, iv had 3.7 seconds to 60 with just a jb1 tuning box otherwise totally stock. Without launch control used in same road same conditions im seeing 4.4 seconds.
For sure with launch control the Golf R would've won. It is so much faster 0-60 with it. The launch control in the Golf R is very, very good unlike most cars of it's class that have launch control. Not even going to mention how DSG is not only faster but more consistent as well. Anyways, that Volvo is a beast, not trying to crap on it, it’s just the Golf R wasn’t given it’s opportunity to show 100% of what it can do
With modern automatics. You have to let them do the work. It's hard to give up the manual shifting when for so long it was the faster way and making it about the driver and machine. So much of it now is left up to the engineers before the driver even sits in the car. You have to consider taking the manual shift as a personal accomplishment.
