Dozens of families packed Manatee Lagoon to celebrate Mia's Summer Shell-A-Bration

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) - Manatee Lagoon hosted Mia’s Summer Shell-A-Bration, where attendees enjoyed free, family-friendly activities to celebrate Florida’s manatees and local waterways.
The event featured face painting, a “Seagrass Walk” scavenger hunt, a manatee rescue adventure, beach bingo, indoor and outdoor games, and food trucks.
The event aimed to spread awareness about manatee conservation while providing a fun-filled day for guests.
One of the day's highlights was a visit from Mia the Manatee, Manatee Lagoon’s lovable mascot.
In addition to the Summer Shell-A-Bration, Manatee Lagoon offers various summer programs, such as the Wild About Wildlife virtual camp and a regular lecture series at the Lagoon Educational Series.
