Our budgie was attacked by a rat. He was inside his cage sleeping and the rat tried to get him. It was a good thing I heard him crying. his tail and right wings were badly injured. But thank God his doing better now. His able to fly again too. Not yet high but a big improvement. 🥰
I love the sneaky finger approach I've tried that too. The aqua bird with a yellow head is truly beautiful, and friendly. What name did he get finally.
The transition between them eating from his hand and getting out of the cage happened so fast. I also have two budgies that I've been trying to tame for months now and they don't have a problem with eating from my hand or standing on my finger but that's all. They fly away when I try to get them out of the cage, they don't allow me to touch them and they only jump on finger when there is food involved...
@The Bird Squad I have three budgies, they’re all very scared of me. I walk next to the cage and they back away. I reach my hand in to change food and water, they fly around. How can I train them to at least not be as scared! I’ve tried everything and I’ve been asking whoever I can, but not much has helped :(
@@xxxMarijaaa try to put the cage near where you work or always stays, for example my cage is near my computer so they get comfortable with me because I'm always near them(my english is bad sorry)
A couple of months ago I bought a very young bird from the pet store. I figured out she was probably 3 months old when I got her. She's the shy personality and bringing her home, and her new cage, she was extremely traumatized and sat like a statue for 2 days. Not eating or drinking water, and could not entice her even by moving food and water near the corner where she was sitting. The 2nd night, I put a small pyramid under her cage, and the next morning she did start drinking and eating. Only small amounts at first, but she was moving around her cage. It took a couple of weeks before she stopped panicking when I reached into the cage to wipe off her perches or change her food. I love her and she's so cute. I've had her two months now, and am just in the last few days gotten her to eat from a spring of Millett held in my hand, and last night for the first time she jumped on my arm a few times. I have even gotten her to sit on my finger....but not for long. But I do attribute the vibrations from the small pyramid as being a big help in easing her trauma.
You are amazing with your birds. I’ve recently got some parakeets and I’m loving it. I had one as a child and had it for years and when it died, I just never got another one due to heart break. I’ve been trying to give them different fruits and spinach but unsuccessful with them eating it. Any suggestions on how to feed it to them would be greatly appreciated.
I would suggest taking away their seed dish so they are forced to try other foods. Just between say breakfast and dinner. By using that method, my bird became interested in nearly everything I would eat. It had to try some--even meat!
You could grab the food you want the bird to eat and stand next to the cage then take a bite of it and act like its really yummy. Do NOT give the bird the food you bit, instead a new one, human saliva is toxic for birds. Also when you give them fruit DONT give them any fruit with the seed still there as it contains cyanide which is safe for humans in a very small amount but for birds its not. To what i know the only safe fruit seed is strawberry.
Wow! That's awesome! I'm so much happy that both of them r improving day by day. Btw, I'm so much curious about their names. Name suggestion: "Mink" for the male budgie. And, the name u suggested (for the female budgie) "Fiona" is so good. Also, the name suggestion for the cocktail: "COCO". And, also "Budgie Nation" is going to be a family of '600K' budgie lovers! That's so cool. Lots of support from India.😊
Wow, so awesome! You’re so caring and patient. Very happy flock you have! I actually learned a lot from this video. I think I’m not being slow and patient enough with my bird. We rescued a young-ish male cockatiel from a household that had dogs, kids and probably meth use. We’ve had him for over a year, and he’s come to love us (we think), but he absolutely hates our hands. He hardly ever comes out of his cage even though it’s always open (except for when we secure him at night). He just sits on a rope attached to the cage door all day. He hates when we leave and freaks out with excitement when we return, it just sucks he won’t really interact with us.
I rescued one from a neighbor who had to move out. I've never had one before. He's so pretty and sweet. And scared because he had gotten away outside in the cold and hid in a bush overnight. The owner said there was a mate but sadly can't find that one. My question to anyone there is can one Survive by themselves? I have been playing RUclips videos today and Skyler seems to really like them. He seems lonely. Any advice anyone?
Thanks, Alen! I'll have to try this with my budgie, who's scared of hands. He came from a pet store where he lived in a big bin type cage with a large flock of other budgies. I'm hoping this will help me tame him & get him over his fear of hands. :D

So happy to see your new little friends are doing better. Amazing how well animals bounce back with a little help and the knowing they are wanted and loved. 😊 My little crew of 3 budgies are doing good accepting millet from my hands and then chewing on my fingers. I love that you gave them a chance to be loved just like anyone deserve❤️ But im a bit concerned about their droppings, since the urates look kinda greenish/yellow and. Bright green or yellow feces can signify that the bird is not eating (anorexia, or stress since they got to a new home), liver disease, or chlamydia (a kind of bacteria) infection. The urates are normally white, cream colored or slightly yellow. I would keep an eye on that since i lost 2 of my rescueds for the same reason..(they had problems with their liver) I also recommend giving them milk thistle and milk thistle seed since it can do miracles for your bird❤️

hello! I’ve been watching your content for over a year now :) I have 6 budgies and none of of them are tamed. It’s kinda hard to tame since they’re multiple untamed budgies, I have done a lot of research and I used your videos for tips. So far your the best helper!!! I just wanted to say can I tame all the 6 budgies in the same cage or do I have to separate them? Please respond!!! It’s been arounf 11 months since I’ve got them
First they need 2 weeks before you try to tame Them then you need to make Them unscared by holding Your hand on Cage for 5 Minutes and Every Day more Closer to budgie... You can find on RUclips or something like that
I'm definitely not an expert, since I only got my budgies a year and a half ago. But one thing that I think Alen does in the video, that made it easier for me as well to tame my budgies, was keeping the budgies' cage in the same room as me, and maybe keeping the cage open when you can

He is a talking maniac and a the main joy of my life. Thats him in my icon, he has his own youtube.
I dont have a tammed budgie yet but we are still trianing them i have 3 and they are very smart cause they always flip over the lid of their food
You are my best RUclipsr I like your cookie
I have a technical question , did you keep their seed plate in the cage while feeding them with your hand ?
I have a crazy lovebird she's scared of me , though she accepts the seeds in my hand , she doesn't want to leave the cage .
Those two looks like my budgies! Im still half a way to tame them
I like the stuff that you know about budgies I seen a lot of videos about your stuff but I am going to get one but I do not know when so yeah thanks
I have 4 budgies and i'm working on taming them. My only female was abused before I got her and she would never come out of the cage or interact with me. I'm going to work with her a lot today.

Cockatiel: Bruh, wtf are those two doing?
hello! I’ve been watching your content for over a year now :)
I have 6 budgies and none of of them are tamed.
But one thing that I think Alen does in the video, that made it easier for me as well to tame my budgies, was keeping the budgies' cage in the same room as me, and maybe keeping the cage open when you can
Beautiful
Hi sir Alen!! I’m a fan. Can I ask you how to know if my budgies have mites?
I have 2 tamed out of 12 end one big parakeet whit that fing on the head you hade one in your video.
The parakeet its also super tamed
Aww will this budgies be healthy?
I’m getting my new bird today and I am going to do everything in this video! Also what should I call my birb?
Thank you very much
