one thing i specially love about this is how the textures contrast some of the other songs. like, in Winterlude, i described it as "i feel like i could touch the ice shards" whereas this is more like "i feel the song tickling my ears" which really is an opposite. and the mid section with tons of reversed sounds is so good. really helps represent the leap into *the unknown* in that stardew mentioned the song represented for him.

Four months ago I moved to my mother's out of my Dad's, and in the process of doing so I made mistakes I still haven't forgiven myself for. Every day I would walk to my new school in the morning for a straight month I would indulge in self condemnation, imagining how much everyone would be better off if I had just done things differently. Every day I put on my headphones for the 20 minute walk to school, and I blasted this song to the point where it hurt my ears. The beauty of this song, coupled with my awful feelings of guilt and low self esteem, put me on the verge of tears multiple times. Even now, I still have a profound emotional response to this song. It's just that beautiful. I'm 17, and male. Thank you for giving me something to cry into during my worst times in life. Edit: Coming back to this song in 2023 as a 19 year old college student. Kinda cringe but I can't overstate how effective this song proved to be as a coping method. This song here proves that Onefin makes some of the most moving and beautiful music I've ever heard. I gotta dig deeper into this discography because this song, Dark Matter Suite, and Within the Sadness are all MIND BLOWING, even after all these years later. Thanks Onefin.
