Marioverehrer doesn't play in any of his videos, it is all other RUclipsrs or just MIDI files. This is a funny misconception honestly saying that he doesn't even try to mention that fact, making him seem "good at piano", which is not a lie, just a "withholding of information".
@@DaRealPianist True, but his channel does have the biggest variety of these "tutorial" type videos, and I do enjoy that. I do wish he would say that though.
My friend there played that and some 10-20 people at my school from band/orchestra were shocked. One student, currently playing a Trumpet, said neither of his guys cannot play that part.
The difference lies between if you're being forced to play the piano by your parents or if you're really interested and self taught of playing the pian
@@BigBoi653 Well Liszt and Chopin were good friends so I'm guessing he not, he might have sightread it though saying the entire song is just arpeggios in the right hand with octaves in the left, which is pretty easy...
ThePianistInTh30ry Can you even play this piece? Even though the right hand is just playing arpeggios, this etude is harder than you would think. Even professional pianists need to take their time with this piece to play it correctly. Anyone who can sightread this piece is insanely good at piano, just like Liszt was. This is not “probably easy since left plays octaves and right hand only plays arpeggios.”
@@johnpark1520 @John Park I'm almost finished with this piece and can confirm that, though it hasn't taken me much time to learn the etude since I have previous experience with fast arpeggio runs like that, which I've built up over time. The only thing that really gets me are some of the stretches, if your hand is not big enough you will definitely struggle (I'd say a comfortable 10th or 11th hand-span would suffice though).
Lol, I printed the sheet music for this a few days ago at my school. If anyone asks, I printed it because I thought it would be fun to print out, especially a hard one like this. Anyways, I'm gonna keep my copy for waaaaaaayyyyyy later on when I've had enough piano experience.(I've been starting since like 3-5 mths ago, so this would be a goal for later on). Also, can anyone tell me if the tempo that Chopin penned down makes the work more difficult or not?
4 years past. But theoretically you are still not at this level (unfortunately you need statistically between 5-20 years of experience, depends on talent tho) But if you didnt stop the play, then you will not stop it ever. Keep going. I „mastered“ the chopin op 10 no 9 erude after 1 year of overall piano experience. waterfall is too hard for me, I need more experience than that, so you should maybe try smth else tho first? I think etude 10-11 or 10-9 are good starts.
I have been practising this piece for roughly three months and the maximum speed I can reach is 0.75x by now. If I try to play it even faster, my tendons get blocked, besides I strike so many wrong notes.
it's not that hard, don't be discouraged, if you want, you you really love it, you can do it. and it's so beautiful so give it a try. It's in your head
Uh, for starters ive been playing piano for seven years and im in the process of learning this etude. From personal experience I can say its difficult but it's not as difficult as people think it is. Sure, I cant play it but I can tell you for a fact that anyone can learn this piece within a reasonable amount of time. It doesent take 50 years to learn something like this, even if you arent musically gifted. A normal person who has been playing piano for at least a few years could probably learn this piece in two or three years.
Do you guys think I could learn this? I think I can because I can play Moonlight Sonata 3rd Mov. but I'm only 13 and I've only been playing for 3 years so I'm not sure. Please reply! Thanks :)
what is it with people and making moonlight 3 the baseline for everything? is moonlight 3 the new fur elise? it seems like everyone knows it and the normies who dont even play piano are jumping on the hypetrain and bragging about how hard it is. where's the love for the other sonatas? no 16 is quite charming, and 17/3 is just marvellous. why is everyone obsessed with 14/3?

Michel Godschalck But first I would like to hear you play it. Upload a video and then I can tell you if you are playing it in a virtuosic way like it is written
Mousey, Michel is actually kinda right... I have fairly big hands so when I started learning this etude, it was mostly a breeze (after I got the notes and muscle memory down) but my friend with smaller hands than me struggled with this piece... While it certainly can be done with small hands, those with larger hands have an advantage
Well he just numbered it nr. 1, but I think he released the whole opus 10 as a whole. So who knows if it really was the first of the opus 10 he created.
You need to spend more time then you can learn but the real thing is the piece will be easy in the first bars but then it really hard. Your hand need to be big and you have to memorize the notes because it will help you to play by ear I mean you can easily finish it with some minor mistakes but to polish it you'll need more time focus on hard sections first u derstand the basic technique that is used in this piece this piece is all about stretching you 4th and 5ths and the arpeggios is still on the same technique and yes you can learn but remember if you learn this etude half of the hard pieces are done because many pieces are full of arpeggios especially moonlight sonata mvt 3 like that :)
