- I've always been so curious to see someone's annotations throughout a book; what they've underlined, what they've written in the margins, etc.
This could be the worst video idea or a pretty enjoyable one. Either way, please let me know what you guys think and thanks for watching! x

duuude i love this concept!! i’ve seen so many annotation videos but they rarely show people’s annotations, which is understandable! i get for some people it’s personal but i loveee seeing what stood out to people enough to annotate
thank you for the validation 😭😂 I feel the same way! that's why I wanted to try this out ✨
I love this idea so so much!! Whenever people show how they annotate I always want to see what they’re actually writing so I get ideas of how people ACTUALLY annotate, this is perfect!! 💘 great choice of book too;)
mia rose reads thank you so much I’m so happy you enjoyed!! 🥰
My nosy little brain LOVED this! As someone who annotates with one highlighter and a pen, (I can't be bothered to carry around more than that), this is was so satisfying
okay but SAME though 😂😂 I'm glad you enjoyed!! ✨
i love seeing annotations 😍😍 please make this a continuous series!
thank you so much!! ✨
can you please show us all your hp books annotated?!
Annotating tips! (That work for me)
One thing that I do when I annotate is to write a summary that’s usually a sentence or two long. This helps me find main ideas, find particular scenes I wanna reread, etc.
If the book you’re reading is borrowed from a library or a teacher and you can’t write on it I’ll usually write on regular sized notebook paper. I’ll write down the page number and quickly write down my thoughts. And then just fold the paper and stick it in as a bookmark. I know post its are a popular option, too, I just don’t prefer them mostly because once I return the book I have to rip them all out one by one and they’ll get all scrambled and messy bc I wanna keep my annotations :)
These are some great tips thanks for sharing! I actually used to do the second tip a lot when i first started reading, at the end of every chapter I'd write my general feelings and any other miscellaneous thoughts I'd have during ✨
I literally look for videos like this all the time like you don’t understand how happy I got when I saw this, PLEASE do more!!
I'm so happy you found my video!! Did you see the annotated Prisoner of Azkaban one? 😈
I LOVED THIS!!! You should definitely do more videos on your annotated books
THANK YOU SO MUCH!! 💞✨
Just wanted to know I loves the flip through I’ve googled and watched many videos on annotating and many just go through what items they use and the meaning of the colour code but no one actually tells what people annotate so I love how I could see your actual annotation, thanks for sharing.
i'm so happy you enjoyed!
Girl you just got yourself a new subscriber! I absolutely loved this video concept - especially for people like me, who are looking into start annotating in their books. I would really love to continue seeing these types of videos, because trust me, it will be such a big help for the bookish community.
Hi!!! Thank you so much, I've got a few other Harry Potter annotations video coming up so stay tuned ✨
I loved this so much. I’m always so interested in other people’s annotations and I wanted to do this on my channel but I thought nobody would be interested but me. Anywho, this was so relaxing to me lol. I have no clue why 🤗✨ and I love how neat your notations are. I feel like mine end up a little messy 😭
All Things MiMi this made me so happy thank you so much 😭💕 I’m so glad to know that I’m not the only one curious about other’s annotations!
Oh my God Biggie as the backround music I’m living ! Love this video ❤️
Bring these videos back !!
Yes!!!! We need more content like this because I’m in love. I’m so curious about what people specifically annotate and it makes me sad when they don’t show more examples in their annotating videos
Kaelyn saaaaaame!! So glad I’m not alone in this 💕
Green annotation for spells seems like a great idea 😻I personally don't like to write on my books but this one I might try while re -reading Thank you 🙂
this is the most i'll probably ever read of HP so I appreciate this flip and the concept too.
6:13 ok....this lines touches our hearts
i literally started annotating one of my books today and i LOVE it, it looks more loved and cared for and its just *chefs kiss*
YES YES YES I LOVE THIS JOURNEY FOR YOU!!!
Yesss I love this! I always watch people's annotating videos but wish I could actually see what they are writing. I would love love love if you would do this for other books you annotate if they aren't too personal x
i've always felt the same way! that's what inspired this video ✨ i'm also planning on doing this for all my Harry Potter books so yay!
throneofpages omg yayyyyy

thank you so much you're so lovely 💖
i love your annotations and your handwriting is to die for!
Thank you so much!! ✨
I reaaaaally like the idea for this video or new video series. However, I’d love to actually hear you discuss the annotations, add a few graphics to help us understand the quotes themselves and maybe even a final summary! Great job sis 💕
hold on now, you might be onto something
Also, Chillstep Harry Potter music for the next one
Loved how you annotated this!! I am totally going to do this too!
yes! it's so fun :")
Hi, this is a great video! I just started annotating books and Harry Potter is the first book. Your video gives great tips and tricks. I hope you continue doing this kind of videos! BTW I love your channel!
LIeze CL I appreciate this more than you’ll ever know 🥰
I wish people made more videos like this.
I never wrote any annotation in any of my books, I didn't even know that people do that. After I started following booktube channels I started noticing that people's books have writings and marked. It's very fascinating how much people love books.
it really is :')
Totally relate with wantings to see the annotations in the books of other people it's like see the process of reading and I can feel them hahahaha. I love this video c: ❤️ for a long time I've been looking for something like this c:
I loved this! I would only watch for books I've already read because spoilers. But keep them coming!
Mariana Quesada thank you! ✨
I loved this. This is the first video of yours I came by. You have a subscriber. 💙
Yay! Thank you!
loved this, espec having read this book for the first time ever 🤩
This video made me smile so much the entire time! Now I really wanna annotate my HP books too so that's for the idea

This was BRILLIANT ‼️💯💖I am just tabbing mine for the first time 💯‼️Awesome video 💯‼️
When you started talking i was like yeshhhh a dutch one!! Ik can hear it in your accent. I’m from the Netherlands too. I love your annotations🥰🥰🥰🥰
Ahhh I'm actually dominican 🙈
I love that you did this!!
I enjoy this video very much!! You inspired me to annotate my books too! Hope you are doing good Xx
thank you so much :'')
Love this! its exactly what we need. More please. :)
your wish = my command 💕
thank you so much for making this video. :)
I LOVE this video idea and I firmly believe that this will become a new trend in the booktube community.
omg 🙈🙈
Love this!! Looking forward to seeing more :)
I kinda wish they released an annotated version of Harry Potter, like they do with the Bible. Meant for people who already read through the story once. Annotations could pinpoint recurring plot points or phrases, explain scenes by referring to other chapters (whether those chapters are before or after), and things like that. There are many seemingly unimportant details that end up being mentioned again later.
For instance, Hagrid mentions Hog's Head in book 1, and we don't see it mentioned again until book 5, where it makes a callback to book 1 and even adds further explanation. In an annotated version, this would be mentioned in the book 1 passage.
Another example: In book 4, Albus casually mentioned to Igor a vanishing room, which in book 5 we discover was the Room of Requirement!
So an annotated version would make it easier to draw these connections, like people who reread these books dozens of times do. An annotated version could also point trivia like "this character or place is only mentioned this once in the whole series".
Just an idea...
I LOVE THIS SOOO MUCH!!!!!
THIS MAKES ME SO HAPPY
please keep doing this
Please do more videos like this. I love this so much
Ahh i love annotations!!
would love to see your annotated books of the entire Harry Potter series.
Maybe one day when the hurt of J.K. Rowling isn't so present in people's minds 🤧🤧🤧 but thank you for enjoying this one 💗
Loved this, lovely!!´I think It's a great concept 💕
My Folded Life thank you!! 🌟
Omg I've just done this with all my Harry Potter books during lockdown. Loved comparing my annotations to yours! Have you done the rest of the series as videos or just this one? Would love to see the rest! X
ahh thank you!! was this your first time reading harry potter or was it a reread?
@@throneofpages I've read them many times before but decided to do it as I always make mental notes each time I read them. The older I get rereading them i seem to pick up on different things so want to keep track of it all x
Since you sounded so insecure at the beginning, you might like to know i specifically searched for this type of video and yours was one of the only ones to pop up so i was very happy when i saw it!! Thanks for doing it :)
this made my whole day thank you so much!! 😭✨
This took me an HOUR 🥲
I literally just found your channel and I’m hooked 😭 you’re like a ray of sunshineee!! So prettyyy 🥰! Subscribed the second I was in also have you read the song of Achilles? if so, what are your thoughts on it. Just read it and I have no words, that book kissed my soul apart😭
Edit: I just found your video where you discussed about the song of Achilles hehe
i'm so happy you found my channel 🥺👉👈
please do more of this
Thank you so much!! Will do 🥰
Second time I watch this video and I van't wait to see more videos about the books you have annotated 💕
thank you so much! 🖤
ok but the idea of writing in a book physically hurts me
however it is really cool!
i get it don't worry 😂
your handwriting is so nice IM SO JEALOUS
also i enjoyed this so much!!!! im a curious person as well and always pause the annotating videos to see what the people wrote in their books
thank you so much!! and I'm so happy I'm not the only nosy person in this community 😍
This is so gorgeous 😍😍😍😍
🥰🥰🥰
& do you use coloured pens instead of the maped fineliners now to annotate? haha idk the lines look really clean LOL
you have a really good eye holy cow 😂 i started using the Staedtler triplus fineliners! the Maped fineliners were great but I wanted to give these a try and they actually have thinner points which make for really sleek, clean good looking lines 😩👌🏻
do the staedtler bleed by any chance 😱 or bleed less/more than the maped
i noticed that the maped bled for me :/
@@mad4what the maped used to bleed whenever i pressed to start a line like it created a little ink blot which was super annoying but the staedtler are much better at keeping the ink where it belongs!!
The staedtler bleeds _waay less_ than maped; so far it hasn't bled through any of my pages so i'm over the moon obsessed with these pens 😍
I really enjoyed this video! It would be so fun if you would like to continue with this concept :)
Flowers and Tea thank you so much!! 😭✨
This is like ASMR lol its so visually beautiful 😍
THANK YOU 💖✨
YES! exactly what I want! Please do The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo next! =D
I WOULD LOVE TO ✨
I love this concept 🥰
i'm so glad you enjoyed 🥺🖤
@@throneofpages I have always been curious about what people actually write. Not just the tabs.
thank you for this video!
I loved this!Really❤️
palomarodgz thank you 💕
loved it!! 💛💛
thank youuu 💕
The only annotation I have on my Harry Potter book is my name written in the same font as Harry Potter on the first page, below "Harry Potter" :D oh and some underlined sassy moments!
Yes I always wanted to see this as well! Thank you! I had a question when you flip your pages can you still kind of see your black ink writing? I just want to know if that would be “sinking thru”
Not at all! That's why I love that pen because it doesn't bleed through the pages at all. And if you're wondering the pen I used (and always use) is the uni-ball 207 Micro Point in black ✨
Hello! (Super late to this vid. I just saw it was posted a year ago! 🙈) Sorry! I'm just getting into annotations now and I think your book is not only MEGA CUTE! But an inspiration! I want to do the same with some of my books soon!!! Great job! Omg!
Never too late!! Thank you so much, I'm so glad it's an inspiration for you! 💗✨
I loveddd this video!!!
Love this!!
tysmm!! I finally understand this.
Also how did you do those straight lines at 2:13 did you use ruler to draw them?
ruler 💘
omg! i loved to watch this it was so thereputic. also i read it in hermiones voice too haha ! i recently reread hp 1 but couldnt annotate as they are first edirions and my dad wouldn't be too happy if i wrote in his books haha
I'm so glad you enjoyed!! And I'd probably be the same as your dad, first editions are preciouuuus (Gollum's voice) I could never
When are we gonna see the Chamber of Secrects Flipthrough?! 😭 this was so cool!! ✨💕
thank you!! It'll be soon ✨
I love this video ❤️
Why are you underrated! (in my opinion) Also can we get another annotated book..
Example:Harry Potter and the chamber of Secrets.
Thank you for reading!
Also if you already did it plz show the link.
Edit:Congrats You just got a new sub!! :)
thank you so much 💗✨
Can you do a Chamber Of Secrets book annotated flip through ? That would make me so happy 😁✨
Hi! I've decided I won't be making any more Harry Potter content I'm sorry :(
can you please show us your other annotated harry potter books 🥰
Great idea, definitely do more! My only request would be some more soothing/background music, the repetitive horn in this song distracted me when I wanted to focus on reading your annotations. Just a suggestion ✌️
thank you so much! i'll definitely try and look for a more soothing background music for my next one ✨
i love this and i love you❤
💜💜💜
Can someone help me understand the difference between a favourite quote and a favourite moment? They seem too similar and interchangeable to me.
Please do the same for the rest of the series x ❤
Hi! Can you do a video like this but showing your annotated copy of The Picture of Dorian Gray please?
Keep doing it please 😍😍😍
This looks like a tidier version of the annotations I did back in school. I don't annotate books I read jn my free time because it takes time and I'd be embarrassed if anyone read the annotations.
Did you use a ruler for your underlining? It’s so beautifully neat.
I wish I could take credit for it but I did use a ruler!
This made me want to write on my books😂😂
dO IT 👏👏👏
do the harry potter and the chamber of secrets next plss
Nice video with good examples of annotation. The only issue is that the music was irritating. I would rather you talk about why you annotated what you did, your thoughts and reasons.
thank you for the feedback! I'll keep that in mind for future annotation videos :)
