    👍 good method!
    Ques: instead of time period if Im using category/subcategory from data then can I directly use that column and only use the Cal group measure as done for order count?
    Note: there can be 10+ categories.

      Thanks a lot! Could you please provide more details regarding you Q. If I understood it correctly, you can category/sub category in a table that you are on columns in the matrix visual, correct? What you want to achieve? Best!

      @@PowerBIHowTo , yes! In that case do I have to create calc items? Becuase category & sub category can be many.

      Hi there, Sorry I'm still not clear about the end goal. The logic in the video was not to show order count measure when QTD is used. What you are trying to achieve? You mentioned category/sub category but I don't clear what the requirement is. Could you please provide a bit more details. Thanks!

    Very useful information and explained simply as per usual! Extending calc groups further then, if you have an FY Slicer, is it possible to use the value selected as part of a calculation group item heading in a Matrix visual? Such as FYTD HIRES (), eg. FYTD HIRES (FY24). There doesn't appear to be an 'fx' option on 'Text' to do that. Just wondering if there was a workaround trick? Thanks.

      Hi there, Thanks for the feedback. Sorry for the late reply. Are you referring to dynamic column names in the matrix visual? If that is your question, unfortunately it is not possible . If your question is different than that, please let me know. Thanks!

    Hi and thanks for the video. I have used the SELECTEDVALUE method which works to hide the values but the column header still shows. Any idea what I may be doing wrong?

      Yes you cannot use to hide the header but this video showcase on how to use calculation groups to hide the columns alongside with header. Not sure if you are using different method.

    really cool...how can you sort by calc item in the column??

    • @PowerBIHowTo
      @PowerBIHowTo  2 месяца назад

      Thanks for the feedback. I think that sorting is the limitation of matrix visual. Only way you can sort matrix visual on columns is if you are using multiple measures on the values section, as soon as you have something on the column, you cannot sort by that column, in this case calc item.
      Check if there is an idea on the ideas forum and upvote for this feature. HTH. Thanks!
