Ultra compressed, like electronic drums.. almost like some techno thing. I noticed this When violent revolution was released in 2001. Its a hideous trend. Man.. ALL bands have this horrible sound. You can hear songs by Depeche Mode (never let me down again.. I feel you etc)and it sounds more "rock". Im talking about The overall sound or intention.
