Nobody talking about the legendary Jürgen Reil aka Ventor. He is 55 and still drumming like 15. Bravo :)
I've met him a couple of years ago at another concert and I told him I love his drumming on the first records. His answer was, that he wasn't even a good drummer and got a lack of technique back in the days.
Well, imo the drumming back then was more intense, because you could feel the aggression behind it.
Very good point, i am an early Kreator consumer and completely out of this type of music as a musician at 45. Firstly because it no longer generates "good vibes" for me as a player, secondly no mater your technical level it still demands on your physic. slower more melodic rock/ metal with groove works best :)
The entire band still has a great energy, stamina and quality. This is fantastic!

One positive about today's music business is that a band like Kreator can go ahead and be Kreator without having to worry about fitting in anywhere. These guys are at the top of their game.
Amazing that Mile still sounds the same like he did in early 90s. They are like Slayer of German thrash metal, they experimented with sound a lot but always remained with aggressive thrash sound. You know, kinda like Slayer. Speaking of... I don't know how Sodom and Destruction are doing these days, Sodom rocked in 80s and 90s.

@@njmfff Destruction have a ton of albums out since Schmier returned. However, founding guitarist Mike Sifringer unfortunately left the band, leaving Schmier as the only original. They have some good stuff, but it ain't as good as Kreator have been doing

Their first 5 albums are untouchable and impeccable. They have a done a great job of staying relevant when so many other bands can't and continue to crank out some great thrash metal throughout the years without skipping a beat. Kreator Uber Alles!

@@nahadoth2087 Their last five are great, but the first five were innovative at the time, opened ways for so many bands and helped establishing the genre as we know it today. There's no possible comparison at that point. Plus, the "growing" as songwriters has sometimes become the using and repeating of formulas and the prevalence of a preconceived approach to songwriting. Their current compositions como so often from intellect while the old ones came from raw, harsh energy and pure genuine inspiration. Though great albums, there's no possible way of defending that "Their last 5 blow their first 5".
@@nahadoth2087 Yeah, I see, they are better albums and the songwriting is better, the musicianship is better and the production is better, even "everything is better". Hard to talk to someone who thinks and argues that way. Thank goodness music critics and film juries don't go like "this is better because it's better", I already have my 14 old nephew to sustain a conversation like that.

I think KREATOR is the best thrash band ever. I got acquainted with their work in the 80s. They brought pancakes and cassettes from Germany. Soviet Union, curtain. My friend's father worked at the embassy, I was lucky. I've been listening to Thrash, Hard, Metal since I was 12, now I'm 50 now I'm 50. Music knows no nationalities and borders.

да ну, какой-то полу-Слеер(особенно в начале. прям "Ангел смерти" от Тома Арайи), полу-рефлексия уже написанного. вообще, складывается впечатление, что жанр идейно застрял в каких-то рамкам и просто занимается самоповторами.
скучно слушать и смотреть на этих "бегунов с битами". Реально затянувшийся экзистенциальный кризис.

Not only is Kreator top notch in terms of metal, but I also love that they continually use their music to call out humanity on their self-destructive bullshit. Great music, great message.
They were always in my top ten for bands. I'm glad they stick to there metal roots but are not afraid to be melodic or experiment once in a while, theyre one of the best

@@iloveitall Well, they took a break in 2019 and only played those two shows in Chile. No other shows, no releases.
2020 was supposed to see them return to touring, but that never happened. They only played the online Wacken World Wide and released the London Apocalypticon DVD and the 666 music video.
2021 saw them release a boxset with the first 6 albums and return to live for 6 shows in August.
Now if you look back before these past three years...
In 2018, I got to see them on the January European tour, then they went and did the cruise, did a North American tour in February- March, then they came back and I got to see them again during their run of spring festivals and one off shows, then saw them again on the summer run of festivals and one off shows, then they did a South American tour and then I got to see them again for the November- December European tour. They also released a batch of four remasters that year.
In 2017, it was the music videos for the upcoming album, the release party club show, the album release, the European tour, the Decibel magazine tour, the first batch of remasters, the summer festivals, the Australia & East Asia tour in September, the Mexico shows in late September- October, then a short run of shows in the US, then a show in Israel, then they finished the year at a festival in Germany.
So yes, it's been kinda quiet for about three years when you compare to before that. And yes, while I did get to see them last summer, I did miss them because that was the first time I got to see them live in over two and a half years!

I know Kreator for a long time, but it was the Phatom album that made me check out their back catalog.
Nevertheless, to me they are busier than lots of other bands and as I said commenting the "World Divided"-Single, they never fail to come up with good music.

А как по мне, то это уже самоповторы. Песня офигенная, 8/10. Но вот припев сбил. Вот слушаешь идет рубка в духе поэшн ту кил, а потом втавка из последнего творчества. Средняя часть удивила, не ожидал. Энергия дикая. Вентор здорово прокачался как ударник. Рад что группа развивается. Новый басист вполне на уровне прошлого

Exactly the same thing for me; first time i heard Kreator, i was like "ugh, more Slayer", but then i heard those powerful melodic hooks and i was like "that ain't no Slayer!", been a fan ever since 🤘🏼
Funny thing is they basically combine thrash with power metal, and i actually dislike both of those subgenres of metal, so Kreator really is something special to make me love them so much in spite of this 🤘🏼💜🤘🏼
Of all the thrash bands I’ve listned to Kreator has stood out as they are just so relentless. Havent slowed down at all over the years. They are no joke man
