Nice video. That looks like a very good bike to get around town with. Maybe not a super long range bike but it would fit the needs of many people and doesn't take up too much space.
You have to keep the key in so someone can't swipe your sweet ride. It makes it a less desirable target anyway. My e-bike is the same in that you have to have the key in the on position or it won't power up. It's not as good of a solution as a NFC card or just having the key up on the handlebars but I guess it's better than nothing. I juts bought one of those magnetic keychains that break apart off of my main keychain from Amazon.

I think you're right @StevefromOhio1972, I tested it yesterday in the rain and it worked great ...no spray from the fenders getting me wet :)
