(English)
While traveling, Takumi Inui is involved in an incident revolving around what is known as Faiz Gear. Before long, he awakens into a Kamen Rider Faiz who fights with the Orphenoch.

Kids at elementary school will make fun of me because of my name. They would say that my father is Kamen Rider Faiz fans because he named me like that, but that not true. Ironically, i become Tokusatsu fans especially Kamen Rider and that make me proud because one of the great series have similar name like mine. (Actually, Faaiz is common name in my country)

Faiz was one of the classic KR where the writers and producers didn't hesitate to be cruel to the characters. Kiba, Yuka, Keitaro, Takumi, Kaido. Man.... Their rough life make me miss them.

The transformation are great and feels grounded with no nonsense gimmick presents.
The concept of Orphnoch as next human evolution are interesting with the great details and personality of each of them.

I will always rate Rider Orga as the secondary rider. Kaixa is just a villain in disguise.
The concept of Orphnochs born from dead humans and they are basically undead are astounding, as well as the realism that occurs within the series. This, along with Kabuto really bested out the first Heisei phase.

Japanese didn't have the same opinion as you. Faiz was doing poorly in Japan. By the time Kabuto aired, Kamen Rider franchise's popularity was really low, so Toei had to find a way to revitalize the franchise or else it would be canceled. That led to the birth of Den-O as one of the most popular Kamen Rider series of all time, maybe the most popular as the characters keep coming back in future movies years later.

Not really, I see that argument thrown around a lot but they had pretty good reasons not to talk, especially considering they were either a 2 faced rapist (Kusaka), literal murderers and monsters (our Orphenoch trio) or the guy who literally kills them on sight (Inui himself)

@@anhkduc7930I love Faiz, but that whole misunderstanding anime tropes are kinda annoying. Even though I hate Kusaka, I can't hate how they potrayed him. He is meant to be unlikeable. A secondary rider whose purpose is to fuck with the main characters while helping them occasionally when they share the same goal. Honestly if it wasn't for his feelings for the main heroine, he'd be a full evil rider.

@@beastultrax8954 Not sure what happened to Keitaro but everyone else was either an orphnoch who would inevitably die over time or dead humans revived by orphnoch technology so maybe they suffered the same fate. As for Takumi he did die but the time machine in kamen rider 4 created a loop so he survived

1-El primer episodio de una de las mejores series de Kamen Rider.
2-Faiz me parece uno de los Riders principales mejor diseñados en cuanto a la apariencia junto con Gaim.
3-Por lo visto en ese año tanto en Kamen Rider como en Super Sentai decidieron no introducir el opening desde el primer episodio si no esperar al segundo para hacerlo.
4-Yo recuerdo que allá por 2010 me compré en Navidad un juguete bootleg de este Rider y aún lo consevo.
5-QEPD el actor de Yuji Kiba, no puedo creer que haya muerto tan joven.

Since Kuuga, all entries in Kamen Rider Series are filmed in 16:9 format. However, until Den-O, broadcast releases of previous entries were in letterboxed 4:3 format.
It's possible that Toei just uploaded the broadcast release from their archive, proving that they're just being lazy.

Finally!!! My favourite rider.
Faiz has sooo many issues with its plot points, which mostly can be attributed to people NOT HAVING very basic conversations-but it did do a lot of things right. It’s still my favorite. I really liked how we saw both sides of the story. Now that Shout Factory is releasing Kamen Rider, I’m praying we get the blu ray release! I actually wish they would to the Standard Def on blu ray style of release, just due to the large episode count, and the fact a bd release can support better quality subtitles (no pixelation, etc). Not to mention, it would require less discs to be used per set.

even with my limited knowledge of Japanese, the "one year ago" is a very clear mistranslation. the onscreen text has 二, meaning "2", so if this was translated accurately it would be 一, or "one". really don't know how they messed that up.
@@TokuWaffle interestingly, these official translations they provided sometimes have a lot of mistakes and weird choice of english. even a simple one like one and two in this video. there are some videos like decade's one where the timing is off too. which is kinda weird bcs the official translations is provided by government's funding.

Watched this on exactly 26th January 2023, it's exact 20th anniversary, such a nostalgic series, tho it is not my fav series anymore, it still has a really soft place in my heart as this is the show that makes me watch all the toku when I was a kid.

He is called Mr.Kamen Rider because he played all primary kamen riders in Heisei Era except Kuuga and Hibiki. During Kuuga and Hibiki time, he was playing as TimeRed and MagiRed.

Will we ever get a kamen rider as great as Faiz again ? ( Or Kabuto, ryuuki). These newer kamen rider, they cater too much on kids as targeted audience, it makes the stories feels much shallower,, everything feels like watered down. Faiz proves that you can make a kid show while also cater to older viewers, i mean there is reasons why faiz still a great watch even after all this years

Faiz is too awesome. I tried getting into Kamen Rider before but I just couldn't until I watched Faiz. It's the only Kamen rider series that I watched all the way through. I would recommend it to anyone looking to get into Kamen Rider or just Tokusatsu in general.

They really pushed the envelope with the whole grim & gritty noire theme of this series. Takumi's complexity is what got me to consider him one of my favorite Heisei Era Phase 1 Rider. So far, it's between him and Kiva for my favorite. Plus, the way he shakes his hand before/during a fight is really iconic. Reminds me of Hidari Shotaro's (AKA W/Joker) hand flick
