- The rumors behind this abandoned house are nothing but terrifying. In the 1980s a family of 6 lived in this beautiful house on the backroads in a rural town in the south. The husband was in the oil business while his wife stayed at home to care for the kids. Seems like your typical family story right? Well one of their daughters was very hateful towards her family and she was very rebellious. She was also a satanic worshiper and one chilling night she attempted to kill her family by stabbing them. Apparently her little brother wasn’t as lucky as the rest of the family. They heard the commotion and put a stop to it before anyone else could get hurt. Her little brother ended up passing away and she was thrown into a mental institution. But right around this time too the oil industry was going through a crisis and many people including the husband were laid off. I can imagine the thought of staying in that house was too much for them to handle on top of losing your job to be able to provide for your family. So we are going to see what is left.

Those are not upside-down crosses in a religious/satanic sense. They are the shape of upside-down crosses made as a craft to hold the silk flowers in place. My grandmother had some similar in her basement that she bought at the local Woolworth in the 70s. But you can see what you want to see.

In the 'Pink Room' the 'Crosses ' were UP-SIDE-DOWN.
I have seen them upside down too in plenty of deserted homes, it’s what they did back then, it was common. Besides anyone could have hung that way for affect. It doesn’t mean anything.
People celebrate Christmas with Nimrod's Tree and color their eggs and have an Easter son rise service( Pagan ritual of killing kids and dipping the eggs in blood. The White House's traditional egg color is red too.) that has NOTHING to do with JESUS but Tamoos. (sp). You are worshipping Babylon when you do these practices...NOT JESUS! I know what see.
The 'glass animals' are actually plastic😊 I had this set in the early 70s. Just wanted to share. I love antiques and some of this furniture are late 1890s to early 1900s the pole lamps are 1960s I love antiques and could share more but will hold off😊. I love your videos the history behind them. I was born in 1964.

Me also! The figurines, that is. Alot of things in this house seemed much older than the 80's, I was born in 1966, so some of the stuff seemed even older than the mid 70's to me.
Got the creepiest vibes from this house. Scariest doll I've see yet. That staircase is beautiful. Green or yellow carpet looked like snot. Shame for the family. Poor boy. Really enjoyed the France series, it was awesome and very entertaining.
Ok working with florist those are not upside down crosses...that was a design that was used back in the day. That is floral tape to hold the flowers and feathers in place.

Interesting mix of beautiful antiques and 60’s/70’s kitch. When I watch these abandoned videos, I’m always so sad about the gorgeous antique furniture just left to rot. I live in a historic home and would Love to have the opportunity to buy those items.

14 year old sister killed 16 year old brother. The parents say it was due to her practicing in the occult, but years later other siblings came out with their story’s that matched up with their 14 year olds sister story. There were alleged sexual abuse accusations that the father was doing disgusting things to his kids. Hence why she also wanted to murder her parents as well but panicked and ran off after they found her killing her brother. That’s all I know. I’m just posting this because so many people are curious as to what’s going on. She was sentenced to 28 years in, as Bankz mentions, a mental health facility.

I believe a door to evil was opened in this house at some point. I can feel the negative energy. An innocent life was lost in this house and that’s heart breaking. It’s understandable why the family never returned. Great video. New subscriber here. I enjoy antique everything.

That black & red room with the matadors is totally early to mid-1970's! My friend's parents had this decor in their family room when I was about seven or eight years old.
This blows my mind how all of the furniture and belongings left behind. All the beds are made to. Out in the woods all by itself is so creepy. I wonder if any of the family members are still alive??

Not seeing anything that even remotely seems satanic here. Those aren't inverted crosses, just some old lady's craft project, I believe. Sorry to be a buzzkill. Anyway, it is an amazing house and the furniture is beautiful. Tacky old art and carpet very indicative of the 60's and 70's, but the house itself is lovely, and the majority of the antique furnishings.

Fantastic explore!! Very cool 70's retro stuff throughout that house!! Those "Big Eyed" paintings are now highly sought after and i believe movie director Tim Burton did a documentary on the artist. Those lovely, glass figurine trinkets, were created by skilled glass artisans. LOL Not sure why but those humongous wooden spoons and forks were all the rage back then but they were !! Also, those shears are quite the conversation piece, aren't they!! Crying shame all the beautiful furniture that is going to waste too!! All around tragic and sad ending for the family that had lived there. The teenage girl probably had no clue what she was conjuring up by dabbling in the satanic dark arts. That house has the makings for a Hollywood movie written all over it.
Margaret Keane is the artist whose husband claimed her work, and who Burton based a film on, but the paintings in this house are by an artist name Ozz Franca.

I would of loved to have seen the outside of the house. Even if it was so overgrown. I think that it would of been nice to see. This is a very beautiful house still. Is it too late to save this beautiful gem? It's hard to believe that there was no damage to the roof leaking. Or water damage. For a house that has been left abandoned for so long. Was there a basement?

I'm sorry but 2 things. Finding patriotic memorabilia in a house doesn't mean they were Republicans. Maybe be they were and you found thier voting records but I see no reason to bring politics onto it while being labeled a "satanic ritual house" patriotic stuff was very big in the 70s and 80s. The house is old. Very mid century modern. Also. The inverted cross isn't satanic and neither is a baby doll. I'm a sensitive and I got zero vibes from that girls room. Inverted crosses only became a symbol of evil recently. Before then they were highly religious. I just dont see how you can call this a satanic ritual house without any proof. I'm a big fan of yours but this one rubbed me the wrong way.

In the south, high humidity and temps plus undoubtedly water intrusion…..why isn’t everything covered in mold? It looks way too clean for being abandoned for decades.

I’m very surprised this house isn’t covered in mold as well. It’s very humid here. There is one fireplace covered in mold, but only the fireplace so I’m thinking it was a leak. The house appears to be structurally sound.
I saw so many unopened doors. No basement? Now that woulda been interesting too. I love this house..would so live there!!

Where I currently live, there are so many abandoned places that I want to explore and nobody to explore them with! This is a beautiful home. I noticed in a comment that you spoke to the locals, did they say why this place was abandoned, are any relatives still alive, and what is the deal with the house? Who owns it, or what the plans are for it? For it being abandoned since I was little, it had held up pretty well. Homes aren't made to last like that anymore. Thanks for this video!

In the bedroom where all the material matched, had the painting that you said "sets the scene"(picture of a girl and boy in front of a barn) hung in my sister's bedroom for years! Wow did that bring back memories!

As mentioned, the paintings are by Ozz Franca. Not Margaret Keane, who produced slightly similar work. (Big eyed children). Keane is the artist whose previous husband claimed her work as his at one point.

These crosses are NOT satanic, they are Latin and its called the Patrons Cross commonly known at St Peter. The small individual room with must bed would have been for an elderly adult. Slot of older Southern homes had them. Yes we had fireplaces in all rooms. Time frame early 1900, antique furniture is stunning and worth alot. Beautiful craftsman ship in all the wood work and down the halls.the stairs are most always the focal point from that era. There is nothing satanic in the house to me,

i had that same table and chairs for a while. they had multi colored pieces of leather/ vinyl on the seats though. i bought the set from an old antique dealer. the chairs were quite heavy. great set. i regret ever turning loose of that set.

There is a very large business nearby this house and you are hearing big trucks drive by. The house is near a road.
That baby doll looked like it had been stabbed multiple times in the chest. So sad to consider what demons the sister fought & what trauma she carried.
I wonder if the family thought they might come back for their furniture but just couldn't face returning. I wish someone would sell it to an auction house or something so it could be loved by someone else.

Such beautiful furniture. And all the old appliances also. I saw the cast iron pans and started wishing they were mine. But so sad about the daughter and son. Also in the daughter room those little glass animals.... I had some just like them. They were given to me. Definitely late 70s early 80s style.

The mother ran with the other kids and there father she wast there for her daughter. There’s another case similar and the mother was there for that case
Which was in 1982 as well and her name is Judith Ann Neelley and for this case the girls name is Rachel and her brothers name is Thomas. She went thru the court stuff alone.

I love your videos exploring and paying Homage to this history. I know you are just a kid so you wouldn’t pick up on some of the old timey cultural stuff. Like that record, The Sting is a widely celebrated movie with Robert Redford. But I suppose that comes with time. Keep being curious. You are on the right track. The more information about the background is great, then you can kinda identify the furniture even though the furniture is 30 years older that the house abandonment records. Census records are difficult to navigate but hold a wealth of information. Maybe you can find a librarian familiar with the scanned census records that can help you. Reach out to local historic societies…. No need to them them you are urban spelunking. Also, I really respect that you are only there to explore and will not take home trophies.

That “old phone” is a radio. The bells are the volume and tuning knobs and the mouth piece is the speaker. It’s about 1/2 the size of what the actual phone would have been.
The house is creepy, especially the daughters bedroom. Does anyone know what happened to the family? Is the daughter still in an institution? I bet the house is haunting. I like the details on the staircase but old houses are not my style though I appreciate them.

Hmm...I highly doubt whether the mom or the help remade those beds with blood stains on the covers. I think they, along with the letter were planted there a lot later on by some one else as they looked too uniform.
yes that letter was way too modern and it was the same writing. it wasn't a dialogue between two people.

I really didn't get any scary vibes as for the black doll it's just a doll that has had mice eating on its clothing. As for the upside down cross on the homemade decorations who ever made it they did it like that to hold the flowers. I love the house it is amazing. The cook stove has 2 ovens one on top that you called the microwave is not a microwave it's an oven. I know this because I had one it was awesome when the holidays came around to cook the Turkey in the lower one and pies in the upper one.

Banks DO take these places over, but then leave them to rot
I know there was an old historic house a county away from where i live that the banks let rot almost to the ground because they didn't want to pay for the fees to tear it down.
The county butted in and took it over as a historic landmark and renovated it at some point, but the banks were content to just let the house in the middle of town rot to save some chump change. Assholes.

I noticed at 17:20 there’s not a mirror in the boys room only towards the master bedroom, but why was there a figure in the doorway of the girls room moving towards the right like it was hiding???😮😮
