Thanks a lot your video is still going strong in 2024. I have a similar Yard Machine that I used your video to fix my mower. Once I wrenched my carburetor off and got that inner thread off I used a sewing needle to clean. After cleaning I sprayed with carb cleaner along with the inner holes, nooks, and crannies. All and all this is an extremely easy fix and I appreciate your video so much. God bless
U know if there is a spring or oring on needle for float? Mines flopping around on vid his looked firm not wiggly. gas pours out the primer bulb hole. If u no a rebuild kit too that be great!
Excellent! I was able to clean mine and rebuild in like 20 minutes flat. Tip: It turns out the spring part by the throttle linkage is the perfect wire size to clear all the jet holes. Mine were ALL clogged when held to the light. Carb cleaner spray for the rest. She started with 1 pull after!
Excellent showcase! It is nice to see every single step, even though I may not be able to repeat your work. I fully understand what are the details during the whole process. Thanks.
Couldn’t get that jet out, but sprayed through everything, put it back together, and that’s all she wrote. Thanks for the step by step video. Only cost me $8 for a can of carb cleaner.
These won't die. I left one out in the winter for FIVE years in a row. Friggin thing started on the first pull EVERY TIME EVERY year. I never even changed the oil. Beast mower. It got stolen from me last year. Loud though. They really snap. I guess the Powermore is a Chinese copy of the 140cc Honda engine. Well they did it right.
Excellent guide, thank you! A couple of points: I stripped the slotted head of the fuel jet screw as it was in so tight and had to re-cut a new slot - don't overtighten, as you point out! Also, I did slightly damage the exterior of my fuel line as a result of over-enthusiastically clamping with vicegrips.
Well done all around--instructions, details, filming! Thank you! The only difference between your carburetor and the carb I pulled off a PowerMore I got just two days ago is that the carburetor bowl on mine was rusty (fortunately, I was able to find a replacement bowl from a carb I bought last year for another project). Thanks to you and other RUclipsrs, PowerMore has gone from "oh darn, it'll be hard to find replacement parts" (because finding a replacement carb for the Rato RV-140, a Chinese-made Kohler clone, was virtually impossible) to "Wow, this is easier than cleaning the carb on a Honda is!"
I have the same machine about 3 years old. I cleaned the carb like you did and it works!!. It looked clean inside and I suspect the float had stuck. The needle valve for the float had a black tip not shiny like yours . Carb cleaner did not remove it I suspect it is some kind of plastic coating so I left it alone. Thanks
Just got my neighbors yesterday from his garage. he was about to throw it away and I ask could I have it. He said yes and its been sitting up for 2 years he thinks. I got the carb off but didnt know what to do after that. was about to take it to the hardware store to have repaired. But now ill try your approach. Thank you. Bud
Only video i could find that showed the same carb and actually showed it start up with a little spray and die. This is definitely the problem i have. Thanks a lot. One thing i was wondering about is the set screw that stops the butterfly lever at wide open. Not sure where that's supposed to be
Best video i could find, exact model. Question about removing the air filter cover? Mine is not twisting off easily like yours. Do you have to press in on notches? Its not moving
@@Whitestrash it does have a spring I found a video that showed it better! I got a kit so hopefully it has right spring if not I might cut one out a pen or something 🤔
What is that spot with the black cover under the fuel cap? It has a spring and moves when hand pushed but doesn't seem to move any other way on its own
Ok, now what happens when you clean up the carb ( bc your mower was running but stalling for a moment every so often, leaking gas through either the air filter and/or oil side) and upon completion and reassembly it leaks clear gas even worse? Did I f*ck up, miss something, or need replacement parts?
@@exitpointarcturus587 if it's leaking gas like that, it's most likely the needle and seat of the carb. It's either bad, or there's a piece of debris in there. The carb is going to have to come off again.
There's something that holds the seat to the float and Mines missing to and it leaks gas. It's either a spring or a oring not sure yet tried to zoom on video and puase to watch but couldn't see it
It fits in the slot put there's a gap cuz of way the seat is and it just wobbles in there and it dont seat nothing when put back together pisses gas everywhere
Make sure fuel line is clear and flowing. Also see if it runs longer with the gas cap off. Sometimes the vent hole on the gas tank plugged and it acts like it's out of gas.
White's Trash I’ve cleaned mine about 5 times taken all apart. Can’t find any reason it won’t Run, I work on small engines and haven’t had any luck with this thing. I ended up ordering a new carburetor today
Mine won't start, needs to be primed quiet a bit before starting.cleaned carb, new plug and oil.noticed you didn't take out the black screw and the other one under the screw.any suggestions
Brilliant, no music no too much nonsense talk just a good demo

Thanks for the video. My mom wanted to hire someone to fix it; i figured let me give it a shot and with your help the lawnmower is running.

Thanks alot, the was straight to the point, I felt fulfilled today after struggling for 3 years with my mower. It started right away. Remain blessed.

I’m 19 and I love working and learning new life skills and this video here is a gem, have the same mower and this saved me 100 bucks
Have the exact lawn mower, and your video saved me a trip to the repair shop, thank you!
After this video, I was able to fix my mower! Wonderful step-by-step process and you are appreciated! 👍👍
Found something free and similar and this video was perfect! Cleaned the carb and it started right up, thank you!

I just bought this lawnmower from a friend for $50 with the exact same problem im going to do this thanks
Wow, can't thank you enough!!! This saved me a bunch of money!!! much appreciated!
It's alive.. fixed. Thank you!!
Worked like a charm ! Thank you
Awesome video, thanks so much ! Easy and really clear !
Big help! Thank you
Awesome step by step guide... Side note>>> I did it! Thank you!
Thanks for the help my man
Thank u
Great video WT. You have a new sub. 🦅
Just adding since this happened to me.. When unscrewing the main jet, only the top nut came out. Use a Paper clip to push the pipe out from the bottom
followed the steps, very clear explanation , but now nothing is workin, i'll try again sunday!
Thank you for this

I bet a guitar string would work good to clean the holes
helpful, thanks!

You could try that, maybe while twisting.
Excellent
The float with needle does that have a spring on it? Picked on up and it leaks gas im guessing theres suposed to be a spring on it
Does it have spring or oring its all sloppy
@@highlifegoodlife5400 it does not have a spring it just sits in there loose.
Oring or something it pours gas cuz the seats so wobbly on the float
Idk why the seats so long on most carbs it's a lil clip that holds seat to float
@@Whitestrash it does have a spring I found a video that showed it better! I got a kit so hopefully it has right spring if not I might cut one out a pen or something 🤔

Pretty sure it's the governor behind that cover.
Same here! Atime and $ saver. Thank you.
What fuel mixture on these
Not sure what you mean by fuel mixture. The carb is fixed, there's no adjustment.
why the carb make a sound whin kranking

Plus check the oil and make sure it's not gassy. If so, change the oil once the problem is resolved.

How do u open the gas thank
Turn the cap counterclockwise. Should unthread easily.
Hey was wondering if you could help me identify a random part I have left over from doing this job?
I could try
People knock these engines; but the carb. design is simple, and the 2 stud mount vs. the 2 bolt type that Honda uses is far superior.
Mine have tons of gas leaked out through the carburetor
The float could be stuck or there's crap in there preventing the float needle from properly seating.
@@Whitestrash ohhhhh.
And once you find the problem, you should change the oil because it's possible that it's diluted with gasoline now.
Did this will run for 30 seconds. Jet is clean bowl has fuel. Any ideas?
Make sure fuel line is clear and flowing. Also see if it runs longer with the gas cap off. Sometimes the vent hole on the gas tank plugged and it acts like it's out of gas.
Ever figure out what the problem is? Mine is doing the same thing
The carb was just dirty. It wasn't terrible, but it apparently was enough to keep it from running.

Bro just order a new carburetor on amazon for $15 dollars. Just swap and replace and you're done! No cleaning needed.
