It’s supposed to be fresh made to order just like the smoothies. They clearly premade them and put them in the freezer so they wouldn’t have to work that hard
Thats not how it works as an employee it comes in a large bucket then we let it sit til soft scoop it into the bowls and measure 8 ounces then flatten in then put it on a tray right after in the freezer. It doesnt take 15 minutes though it should only take 5 so whoever is running the store has the freezer way too cold.

i used to work at grain and berry which is very similar to tropical smoothie, we premade the bases for bowls in the morning and also would use the ones that weren’t bought from the day before first, majority of them were kept in the freezer to stay fresh and solid, others were kept in the fridge to stay soft, the only time we gave our frozen ones was if a customer ask specifically for a frozen base.. because we were supposed to have soft ones on hand. if we were getting low on soft ones kept in the fridge, we would transfer frozen ones over and let them thaw, if there weren’t any soft ones because no one kept up with what was going out of the fridge they had to be made fresh so the customer could enjoy the bowl with a soft base. They should not have given you a frozen base for any reason without asking for it. That means the staff was LAZY !
Exactly. I hate workers who do that, and then treat customers like shit whenever they call out the absurd. They would pitch a fit if someone did that to them.
Hey, I work at TSC and she most likely took it out the big freezer where we store the açaí bowls or recently restocked the mini fridge. We normally put them in a mini fridge so they soften and aren’t frozen solid :)

I was a shift lead at tropical smoothie in Arkansas, she is telling the truth they have to be 20 degrees or less if its melted for too long is completely loses its consistency, and can become unhealthy to eat if left out for too long because its a berry it will ferment
Girl. I have had this a billion times and I’ve been a manager in food. There’s no way employees should serve this. It’s bad customer service. It has nothing to do with safe temperatures. It’s better to make a fresh bowl than try to avoid waste by serving something inedible.
@mariahrobles8445 I was also a shift lead at a tropical smoothie. The texture and taste of them is entirely ruined if it hits like 20 degrees. We were trained to keep it fully frozen until serving. It turns dark and becomes crystallized if refrozen or slushy and grainy if left in the thawed state. The base is pre-made and can't really be "made to order."

I’m sure all of your reasoning is valid for WHY this happened, but it doesn’t change the fact that it’s terrible customer service. what if she was on a work lunch break. You’re gonna get a deserved terrible review bc this is still fast food in the us and she deserves to be able to eat the food she expected when she paid for it.
I just had this problem a couple weeks ago I was disappointed it was so gross😓
Definitely would have been like “id like to see if that’s your same answer to your boss when he asks why there’s a bunch of frozen pre made bowls in the freezer
Such hardships. Life isn't fair !
"Um, like, that's as good as I'm ever going to give it to you."
Plastic-ware has only become smaller & more flimsy. Keep a sandwich bag with a metal spoon in the glove box, or your purse. Sounds kinda dumb? Possibly. But logical, realistic practicality ISN'T dumb.
Life lesson: Learn to handle big or small events or events will handle you.
Bruh what's going on with her shirt i can't focus on the story😂
Literally had the same thing happen to me

What?!?! No.. I go to tropical smoothie all the time and it’s all made right in front of your face… blenders like right by where you stand so you can see it… wtf?
