I love how this final episode perfectly represents British comedy as a whole, with the main character we’ve learnt to love ending up unsuccessful and no better off then they started.
@@dannydorko7075 ye but the difference is, and by the way it’s been a while since I watched Seinfeld, I remember the main characters being quite unlikable anyway. Obviously we the audience like them but I think they did a lot of bad stuff throughout the show, so it was almost as if they had it coming. Whereas Alan is a bit odd but you still want the best for him
The bit where he asks "have you ever shaved your crackling?" she nearly breaks character and laughs. I need to find the outtakes for both series, bet they're awesome
I don't know if you noticed but the guy with glasses and moustache near the end that Alan repeatedly tells to fuck off is played by Rob Brydon who plays Uncle Bryn in 'Gavin & Stacey'.
Not sure how but please react to mid morning matters, an amazing era of Partridge as focusses solely on the character, strips it down, and introduces sidekick Simon :)
Hi! I saw now that you've done "ALPHA PAPA". Will check it next. You do know that you look like a younger more handsome Colton Dunn (Superstore)? Uh, kind of an Alan Partridge remark there... Sorry 🙂 But you do look like him. Or he looks like you... Are you him? Uhhh, I did it again 🙂. Thanks for all the great reactions on Alan! You could check out only Alan bits on "The Day Today" - it's where Alan was invented...
The guy he told to "Fu*k off" is Rob Brydon. You will see him hosting 'Would I lie to you.' It is a British comedy panel show. I am sure that you will know it. Anyway, both did a show called 'The Trip.' / There is a clip called. 'Random Impressions.' On RUclips, (UK.) Its worth taking a look at the pair of them bouncing back and forth off each other, and of course, doing impressions. Cheers Mate. UK. 8/8/2022
In the name of all things holy please watch Nighty Night. It stars both the women in the radio show from this episode and is absolutely superb. You will love it.
That was better than I remembered it! Back when this series originally aired, me and most of my pals were a bit disappointed with it, 'cause our expectations were so high after the 1st series in the hotel being such a classic. But I can enjoy series 2, expectations aside.
@@jamesdean8785 Midmorning Matters is funny, but imho it's not a patch on Saxondale. Tommy Saxondale himself is so well-observed and superbly acted, he's right up there with Partridge as one of Coogan's best comic creations. Besides, MM is just another vehicle for Partridge, so it would be good to see Coogan's range being demonstrated in another direction.
Julia Davis is a consummate pro, but when (her real life old flat mate) Alan asks about her "shaving her crackling" she nearly goes! A lovely look passes between them, like "Don't start me"
After watching (and basically studied) all of these wonderful comedies from the UK. Could you identify any recurring themes? How does this nations comedy be separated from comedy in the US? It’s really interesting to hear from a US pov
The web series next for partridge. 2 seasons of that. Then there's the film. Then there are two hour long specials I hope you can find called welcome to the places of my life Nd scissored Isle

Peep Show is similar: Jez & Hans' lives are just as bad after 12 y; Mark's is worse.
Although...Seinfeld.
@@dannydorko7075 Curb is similar, except Larry's rich throughout.

AP is one of the best comedy characters of all time.
Absolutely agree. 👊💯
Next Partridge series is Mid morning Matters, the Live Radio Show.....Excellent....Must watch
The Day Today as well - the first TV appearance of AP.
@@davidz2562 Josh covered that a year ago
Though it does rely more on British references on the whole so it might not translate as well, maybe?
@@finregan9322 Only 2 videos of parts of it, not whole eps.
I think he should watch Knowing Me Knowing You next. That format of a failed chat show is quite unique really.
The bit where he asks "have you ever shaved your crackling?" she nearly breaks character and laughs. I need to find the outtakes for both series, bet they're awesome
Yep, only just realised that after years of watching AP stuff. He is trying to keep it together too there😂.
Steve Cogan is a good dramatic actor as well. See him in TROPIC THUNDER😎

5:47 Julia Davis , she was in a show called Nighty Night with Mark Gatiss

Nobody could have played partridge better than what coogan did he was literally perfect and made for Alan 😂
Richard Madeley comes pretty close.
I agree he is perfect for this role!
You have to do Knowing Me, Knowing You, even though it was set before this in the Alan timeline
Thanks bud I will check it out.
Josh 😂😂😂 can't get enough of this Man so funny.😂😂😂
Was that a young rob Brydon being told to fck off? Interesting watching this after all these years and seeing people I recognize
the more partridge the better and happy new year man.
Thanks bud, Happy New Years!
Fantastic I just love it 😂😂😂❤
I don’t know if you will see this but definitely a request for ‘Spaced’. You’ll love it!! Simon Pegg sitcom comedy.
In the name of all things holy please watch Nighty Night. It stars both the women in the radio show from this episode and is absolutely superb. You will love it.
I agree. Not much chance though, it always does poorly in the polls. Shame.
Thanks for the recommendation bud I will check it out.

Nah, Partridge is fantastic but I don't find his other characters funny at all. Apart from the "no-one died" security guard.
Mid morning matter is the best Alan show. I’ll love to watch it with you.
Lol
I find s1 e3, Watership Alan, to be the best ep of IAP.
AP wants Sonja to continue living in the caravan while he moves into a house!
It's the "static home"

You need to watch man like mobeen bro it's fucking amazing and people just do nothing 🤜
💜👍💜👍
So much of this show will go over Americans heads.
Glad you got on it but there’s so much material in it, most will be lost
I'm an American
Steve COOGAN did a fabulous character called Tony Ferrino, a Portuguese singer....just so funny!
Did it always have a laugh track?
Over the last 5 years it's been interesting noticing the mannerisms between Alan and Trump
Anyone else get dizzy with the lines
Watch alpha papa 👌
